Publisher's Summary

Ryon Hunter sees dead people - spirits that beg him for help in ways he can't understand. He'd do anything to end the torment, until a beautiful spirit appears to him with a plea he can't ignore: Help me . . . I'm alive. The woman is wildlife biologist Daria Bradford, mortally wounded after encountering a white wolf, calling to Ryon through a rare Psy gift.

When Ryon locates Daria in the Shoshone National Park, it is almost too late, but nursing her back to health at the Alpha Pack compound brings a new complication - Daria is his destined mate, and Ryon is afraid of what will happen when she discovers what he is and what he had to do to save her life. But the biggest threat of all is still loose in the forest, leaving a merciless trail of death behind it. The Alpha Pack goes on the hunt for the mysterious white wolf, determined to stop the murderous rogue . . . only to find that the most lethal creature of all is the one they can't see coming.

Not the best in the series

I really wished this was better... Narration was great..but story was just not as good as book 1, 2 or 3. The only thing I really liked was the white wolf. If you follow along with the series you know Nick, the leader is a born white wolf...so you know his mate is gonna be a white wolf as well. Plus there is already a story there, because every time each alpha member finds their mate, Nick gets all... (hiding something mode)...

The narration was superb, as usually from Kristen Potter...just story was not all that great... I mean it was ok... needed to get to next book...but it felt like a filler book...

Good credit while waiting on another book to release... Not a buy... maybe a sale... a good sale... like under 5 bucks..

Another Great Alpha Pack Story Delivered...

Wow, Oh wow!!!! I have waited for Ryan’s story since January and I wasn’t disappointed. J.D. has written a brilliant story about my favorite Alpha pack member.I have always like Ryan’s character, even when he was just a side character in the previous books. I have always loved his vulnerability maybe because of his psy gift. Ryan is a channler, he can see the dead (creepy) and it makes him lonely at times. Daria is a wildlife biologist who seeks Ryan help once she is left for dead in the Shoshone Forest. Daria and Ryan story is breathtaking. I laughed, I cried, I held on to my pencils snapping it in two during certain moments in the book (I went through three pencils), all the while loving every moment of this book.

Once again, Kristen Potter narrators this book. She has done all the narration for this entire series so far. I really have enjoyed her voice and the added emotions she puts into each character. I would enjoy the book if I was to read it but her voice adds a little bit more to the story. Worth a credit, yes that and much more. Would I read it again, I am doing that right now.

Purchase this book and you will not be disappointed!!!!

These Alphas are Awesome

I adore the Alpha pack series! JD Tyler continues to write action packed romance that keeps you guessing and falling in love with these fantastic characters. The narration is always fabulous because Kirsten Potter is just one of the best narrators I've ever heard. If you're just tuning in to this series it's worth it to start from the beginning and get the preceding books, as they are all really great listens. You won't be disappointed!

Great Story

I enjoyed this book. The story was interesting and still tied the series together. The foreshadowing of issues with Micah, Noah, Nix and Nick throughout the book have definitely left me super excited to start reading the next book.

A Difficult Story

The wonderful performance carried me through a boring story. It was like a men's suit jacket with padded shoulders: looking good on the model only because it's padded. Drop the pads and see how disappointing those shoulders are.

Very enjoyable.

Readers voice is enjoyable to listen to and the story is very good on to the next in three series for me...

It was kinda disappointing.

I'm a big fan of paranormal romance books so the blurb for this book really had me excited to read it. That said, I don't find overly jellous leads interesting. And random space filler sex sceens at extreamly inappropriate times also annoys the heck out of me. For example, bad guys are hunting us but I just can't resist you so lets have hot sweaty & loud sex. Sceens like this make no sense and just bring me out of the story. I also don't like books where true love couples call each other trashy or derogitory names. Some may find it OK but I just think words like those take the romance out romance books. All in all, I guess I'm just frustrated that I don't get to read the paranormal romance story that I thought I'd be able to read when I picked this book.
