Not DI Barton, but a good twisty story
The plot twists in Ross Greenwood’s books are always great. This one has a few of them (no spoilers). A lot of relatable stuff also — sometimes a bit of too-real cringe, and a number of laughs.
I listened to this during a few two hour drives and dog walks, and had quite a few times when I’d wait to finish a chapter before closing the app. A couple slower spots, but nothing that takes away from the story.
The narrator is great — same one used for the DI Barton and other books. Great voice, pace, and pronounced everything correctly (my biggest pet peeve with audiobooks!). Anyone who is a fan of the Barton series will enjoy this one.

Didn't care much for this although I usually love Ross Greenwood's books. I had the same narrator as the DI Barton novels made me think that the personable John Barton had developed an alternate personality.

Kinda crazy
This was kind of a crazy story, but I couldn’t stop listening lol. I don’t usually like stories with romantic relationships because people are annoying, but it worked in a weird way.

Disappointed
I was grieving after bingeing on the DI Barton series and was hoping his next book would be a continuation featuring his colleagues and family.
The story surrounding the uninteresting and unlikable characters in this book was irritating and I stopped listening. The marvelous narrator, David Thorpe, couldn't save this book for me. maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance anday try again in future. I do like this writer and will continue to explore his earlier books.
