Justin Bybber? Don't be fooled by the ratings!

After wasting 5 hours, I still have no idea how this audio book obtained such high ratings.

Might be good, but...

The narration is HORRIBLE.

The cadence and speed of the female narrator (as it is mentioned that there are 2 narrators) makes this unlistenable.

If there is valuable information in this book, I'll have to check out a physical copy to find it.

Do not waist your time.

This book is the equivalent of click bait on YouTube or junk mail. What a joke. Full of copy and paste sentences and the author never gets to the point. The beginning of the book starts out with the theory. You think the theory of the book would be about singing. Neh! the author talked about producers and other non related things to learning to sing. This book is filled with "if you want to know the secret to singing then keep reading" and then they never get to the point. Do not waste your time or money on this garbage scumbag author.

What the heck?

I don’t know what this book is but it’s not about how to sing in any way shape or form.

What a horrible waste of time and money.

Completely misleading title. There is almost no info in here about how to sing. It goes into general ramblings about such things as how to select a producer and what notes different types of singers sing in such as tenors and sopranos. It repeats the same general things over and over again. Can't tell you how many times I heard, "Join a gym but check with a doctor before starting an exercise regime. Drink a lot of water." It goes on about all the benefits of singing. Seeing as how we all bought a book about how to sing we probably don't need to be sold on the benefits of singing. The writing is atrocious. For example, it uses the term "orderly singing" as if that is a term that means anything. I wondered if I was too much of a newbie to know its meaning so I googled it. The only things that came up were articles about a singing orderly, as in someone who works in a hospital and sings. After a while you will get sick of hearing the phrase "be that as it may" used over and over again. Finally, the reader uses this sing song style of talking with the voice rising and then falling over and over again which grows annoying. All of the positive reviews on here must be friends of the writer. I've never been angry about buying a book before. I feel like I was completely lied to about what I was going to get. I'd give zero stars if it was possible.

Great practical advice!

You might think that every audio-book about learning to sing is equally wonderful, or equally lame. But this slim volume, straightforward as it is, is based on vocal science and long experience, and gives practical suggestions for ways to build the muscles and coordination to sing better in any style.

Great review for more experienced ones!

If nothing else, Barry audio-book and exercises will help put to rest those "oh so wrong" directions that almost all singers have heard; directions such as "don't sing from your throat, sing from your diaphragm," and, "fill up your stomach with air," which are simply not accurate and undoable to boot!

Not for me

Straight off the bat, I found the narration hard to follow. It was like listening to captain kirk talk in places with random pauses in the middle of sentences.

The book starts with an entire hour long chapter talking about different types of producers. It isn't until several chapters in where something useful finally crops up. There is a discussion about posture however it lacks any useful physiology past a basic description of how to stand straight.

There are places where the same thing is repeated. The second time spoken better so maybe an editing issue?

I tried and tried but found everything so long winded and drawn out that I really didn't learn anything and instead switch to practicing along to some music using common sense.

The last audio books I had on project management were more involving than this and that's saying something!

Very happy to listen this great book.

This audio book was mediocre at best. It started off ok, then turned into a generic good boy bad boy love story and finally we ended with a conclusion.

Too monotone

The voice was monotone and made listening boring and unexciting. I didn't learn anything to help. Total waste of a credit.

I was so much interested to learn about this book

The gorgeously novel about survival, human connections, love, grief, issues of social class and discrimination. Oh, and there is a murder mystery as well.

I recommended this audiobook.

I wasn’t going to this audio book because, I felt it cost too much for a kindle edition. My cousins talked so highly of this audio book that I caved it.
