I have enjoyed the past books by Dakota Cassidy. Was ever so glad to see this series start.

I love the narrator. It always helps to be able to lose oneself in the narration.

An easy read to pick up and enjoy. I look forward to continuing this Series.

Easy, and Fun Listen

Each book in the series, is a short, easy, and enjoyable listen. Great way to pass the time while driving, doing housework, or relaxing on the beach. Even better, the books are included free with membership! An interesting story line; when related sound like the start of a joke: An Ex-nun, a demon, and a talking dog, all walk into a tattoo shop. The combination adds just as much laughter as one would expect.

Ex nun, Trixie Lavendar, her demon friend Coop, her ex-cop friend, Higgs, business partner, Knuckles, Livingston the owl & Jeff the dog are celebrating Halloween with a party @ the homeless shelter when the local dentist is found murdered. Of course, Trixie gets involved but this time she agrees to work with Higgs in trying to find the murderer. There’s fast action adventure with some surprise discoveries as Trixie forms a closer bond with Coop & her other friends, both human & animal. The series just keeps getting better & I’m looking forward to the next book!

Dakota Cassidy is a great Author

I am so glad I found these Dakota Cassidy books. Love the characters and the narration is superb. Love them !!! They are on my Must Read List

Enjoyable light “detective” series

Enjoy the voices the performer uses. Enjoyed the series and the development of the characters.

Cute series

I liked the book and the series. I will probably listen to the next one if only to get closure to the story and to get more backstory. I would like to hear/read the story of Trixie original possession, her expulsion from the convent, and her meeting of Coop,Stevie and Livingston.

Had potential but ended up mediocre at best

The premise of a former nun turned amateur sleuth was cute. The books are tedious. I’m done with the series. The main character is insufferable. She incredibly judgmental and uses everyone around her but presents it like they just really get so much joy out of catering to her every need. Other characters frequently tell her she’s so funny but there is no humorous dialogue. She’s just banal. She talks about how she a feminist and then says totally misogynistic things. Glad the series was free but it wasn’t worth the time.
