Publisher's summary

USA Today bestselling author K. A. Linde returns to the Royal Houses series with House of Gods: the story of Kerrigan Argon, a half-Fae, half-human as she seeks her place in an unforgiving world filled with magic, mayhem, and romance.

On the other side of a portal, Kerrigan Argon lands in the home of the gods—alone.

She's lost everything: Her family. Her magic. Her world.

Even her dark Fae prince, Fordham Ollivier, has disappeared. She has nowhere to turn, and no idea how to survive in this new world.

The first kind face in the crowd gives Kerrigan hope. Until her would-be helpers kidnap and deliver her into a new kind of hell and the only chance to get home—the gladiator ring.

Win the gladiator tournament and receive a gift from the gods.

Kerrigan is determined to gain that boon to save her people.

Great story!

This entire series has been great, but this installment really added some solid depth. This author has quite a grand vision and is really letting it show. The narration is spot on, she can really bring out the life in each of the characters!

Until the next book, I will be waiting!!!

Another Great Installment in the House of Dragons Series!!

I have to be honest. I was not looking forward to this sequel. I don’t like it when my OTP’s are apart. I don’t like it when my FMC is weakened and stranded by herself in a new and strange world.

BUT…

I should have known better. I should have known that in K. A. Linde’s hands that this story would flow like magical water, traversing all the hardships and obstacles, until all that was left was a stronger Kerrigan reunited with her mate, her dragon, and her allies! And all of them ready to move on to the final book in this amazing series! Which means another year long wait for House of Embers.

BUT…

I have found that all of these books have been worth the wait so I’ll be here patiently waiting for what is sure to be an amazing ending!

Also, Amy McFadden is my favorite narrator and she gives another stellar performance in House of Gods!

So, if you’re looking for a YA/NA series with all the excitement and swoon of Fourth Wing, give this series and it’s finished predecessor series, The Ascension Series, a try!

Great addition to the series.....

4.5 Stars 🌟

Okay, this book did one of the things that I truly dislike - it kept the two MC's - Kerrigan and Ford- separated for most of the book. Yes, I know you're going to say, "well, they were separated in the last book too" Yes, while that is true...I hated it then too. But, this time was worse because...well, no spoilers, so let's just say that the experiences that happened to one of our MC's made my hackles rise....A LOT. Definitely NOT cool.

The entire experience of both of our guys in this book was not easy. The two of them find themselves in a new world and unfortunately, by the time they begin to understand HOW the world works, they have already made too many critical mistakes.

While it started rough, things do get better. We get to meet new characters in this book that I liked and that I hope will become part of the "gang" Kerrigan came to this world to try to find her mother and that is a whole new and interesting storyline.

There is lots of action and drama in this book (but really, did you doubt it) and it completely sets the stage for the last and final boo in the series - the final showdown.

I - for one - Can NOT wait.
