Best-selling author Michael Korda's Horse People is the story - sometimes hilariously funny, sometimes sad and moving, always shrewdly observed - of a lifetime love affair with horses, and of the bonds that have linked humans with horses for more than 10,000 years. It is filled with intimate portraits of the kind of people, rich or poor, Eastern or Western, famous or humble, whose lives continue to revolve around the horse.

Korda is a terrific storyteller, and his book is intensely personal and seductive, a joy for everyone who loves horses. Even those who have never ridden will be happy to saddle up and follow him through the world of horses, horse people, and the riding life.

Loved the narrator as well as the stories told in a manner that I enjoyed learning about the horse world that is not so familiar to me and laughed about the stories where I can see myself.

Loved the humor!

Honest, insightful, interesting and entertaining. Almost mirrored my own experience except that is the life I wanted and didn’t quite achieve it. Never the less I got it now by reading this book.

Loved it 100%

I loved the history of the New York City, riding stables, and the journey the author had with his wife and owning and showing horses.
The authors style of writing filled my imagination to the tee with the dreams and images had of growing up riding in the 70s in the 80s .
Thank you for a beautifully written book .

I must read for any horse owner

Love the narrator and story line .. which is really just a series of anecdotes taken from a lifetime of living and riding horses with a best friend and wife. Set in a time when America’s gentry was in the flux of change and a time gone by. Very enjoyable.

Funny and enlightening
