Not the best book by Portia MacIntosh

I’ve listened to several books by Portia MacIntosh and so far this was my least favorite. The reader is great by the story was only so so.

Would listen to it again

Not your average romance novel. Enjoyed it because of it being not as steamy as other books but you could understand the love and passion without going into detail by the way the author describes the body language. Allie her BFF is funny and adds the necessary mean girl vibe that was needed after what Poot Lyla had gone through.

Cute

I really enjoyed listening to this fresh little book. It was exactly the lighthearted fun chick flick listening experience I wanted. My only critique is that the author, who otherwise does a very good job, doesn’t quite have that American accent down, and sometimes it gets a little bit in the way. I certainly would still recommend this book if you’re looking for a lighthearted read 100%!

Love Portia MacIntosh’s writing!

This is my second book that I have listened to by this author and I am a fan! Though the books aren’t super steamy they are fully entertaining and with characters I find myself rooting for. She writes very well, with stories that don’t seem forced or reaching in any way. I find myself laughing loudly throughout.

Slow start

The storyline starts off slow (drab). But if you hang on until chapter 2, I think you will love the story.
