Two days. Two Portia and Karen books.
I can’t stop listening to Portia Macintosh books read by Karen Cass. I actually think once I finish all of Portia’s books, I will look for those narrated by Karen and try them out as well. She is an amazing narrator. The story was unexpected and a great summer read. Loved it.

Great Characters!

I was disappointed

Trashy
I really wanted to like this book because I love Portia MacIntosh, but I found it surprisingly trashy, which is so unlike most of her novels. Perhaps she's written so much that she's run out of ideas & redeeming characters. For the first time, I found her characters unlikeable. The sex resort was tasteless & unnecessary. I question whether she actually wrote it because it lacked everything that has made her stories endearing. What a disappointment.

So very disappointing…
This story is like a very bad version of Honeymoon for One.
Start with totally unlikeable characters. Add no storyline and constant moving from a boring past to the unlikely present.
Oh, and, spoiler alert, there is no Rom and very little Com. Tedious.
A labor to finish. (Did Portia Macintosh really write this?)
Not worth a credit.
