Now it’s up to Mercy and Troy and the dogs to track down the masked murderer in a county overflowing with leaf peepers, Halloween revelers, and treasure hunters and bring him to justice before he strikes again and the treasure is lost forever, along with the good name of Grackle Tree Farm….

Loved this story

This was a great story. Characters are wonderful. Looking forward to to the next Mercy Carr book.

Another Gem

Paula Munier has created yet another multi-layered mystery for my new favorite couple to solve. Mercy and Troy, along with Elvis and Susie Bear, do not disappoint. It is true that things are changing for them at an almost alarming pace, but they don't let circumstances change who they are, and I hope that continues in future books. After the rather abrupt ending of Book 4, I was pleased to get some flashbacks in this book that filled in a few gaps. I hate waiting another year for the next adventure, but I look forward to it.

Loved them all

I so enjoyed all the books. I just wanted to sit down and listen without interruption each time I started a book. I can’t wait for the next one.

The close relationships with on people and people and with their animals

The closeness between Mercy and Elvis. The mystery within a mystery is a nice addition to these stories. I also enjoyed the continuation from story to story.

Always a great mystery with great depth and great characters

The story is moving all the time from the very beginning to the end with a challenging story line

Love this series!

Love Mercy, Elvis , Troy and Susie Bear. The characters are terrific and I love the storylines. The narrator, as always, is terrific and perfect for narrating these books.

New series to love

I thoroughly enjoy every book about mercy Carr. And the audio books just bring it all to life.

Entertaining, predictable

I enjoyed the time I spent with this book but I kind of guessed the solution 1/2 way through. I love Elvis and wanted him to do more in this one.

Another intriguing mystery for Mercy & her cohorts!

Mercy & Elvis and their cohorts are back! Picking up where we last left these characters, we find newlyweds, Mercy & Troy in search of a home. The best candidate for this home is a supposedly haunted house on Grackle Tree Farm that might even hold more secrets than anyone originally thought. With a dead body, hidden letters, poems with hidden meanings, and quite a few questionable characters, Mercy & Elvis have their work cut out for them to solve the mysteries of Grackle Tree Farm and trying to stay alive in the process. This is the fifth book in the series and I’m still obsessed with these characters and their stories.

I enjoyed Kathleen McInerney’s narration. She has a lot of distinct voices, so it was easy to follow along especially because there were a lot of side characters in addition to the main casts in this story.
