This fabulous audible is dense with useful information; the topic is well researched and equally well presented by the author.

Great for lovers of Ancient Rome

This book really brings the marble glories of Republican and Imperial Roman back to life. It is a must for the student and teacher as the author has collected a dazzling array of ancient sources on a myriad of important structures that have contributed to the western psyche of what Rome was like.

Great summary of history's research

Easily recognized travel through time from where we were to where we are now. I would recommend this book to anyone involved in the Holy Roman Empire and Carolingian Dynasty history.

Amazingly detailed, possibly too many details for a casual listener, It explains a lot about the Carolingian Dynasty, jurisprudence, and conflict resolution that continues to influence to this day in both Europe and some extent North America.

While this would likely be an awkward introduction to the subject, it's a spectacular and comprehensive treatment of an item that often receives short shrift in schools and even in undergrad classrooms.

It's a fairly accurate book.

This book included the beginning with a brief history of the Roman Empire. It's vital that they did this because Roman is pretty much identical with him.
