Publisher's summary

Triple the love, twice the racers, and one big romance.

Will societal pressure derail this unconventional relationship before it begins?

Tate’s always been boy crazy, and he loves like he races - with fierce intensity. Then he’s faced with the choice of a lifetime. How can he choose between two lovers who mean everything to him? Why can’t he have both men?

Pilot is primed to take over the security company he works at with his best friend, Johnny, who’s closer than a brother. Settling down? Not in the cards. A pair of motocross racers rock his world, changing it forever. Will Johnny accept Pilot’s path to love, or will Pilot be forced to choose between the love he never looked for and his best friend?

Bryce does everything his way, from the purple streak in his hair, to breaking away from his parents to his career in motocross racing - and especially his love life. When he meets not one but two men who fit into the world he’s made, the world of motocross, he must figure out how to keep them there. He has to convince everyone...the men, his parents, and even himself.

Holehot 2 is a love story about three very different men who learn together to fight for their love.

Bowers' reading allows the book to shine through!

Readers encounter Tate, the driver who trained with Davey in the first book and he goes 'home' to find his partner less than thrilled by his return. After a physical altercation, he is left homeless and making his way to training camp with the hope that he can improve his ability and clear his mind. He encounters 17-year-old Bryce and they strike up a friendship that almost results in an intimate interchange until Bryce chickens out and avoids Tate indefinitely. Tate goes back on the Supercross circuit and gets reacquainted with Davey and Tyler and discovers Pilot, the bodyguard hired by Apex to keep the team members safe. They start a relationship but Tate still has strong feelings for Bryce that were developed during their time at camp.
Johnny is stunned by the speed at which things progress between his friend Pilot and Tate especially when he moves in. He is doubly concerned when Pilot and Tate are able to add Bryce to the relationship. Not only is Pilot taken with Bryce he is concerned about the threats made against him by a guy from the camp. In the end, the man threatening Bryce is one of several attackers hired by a homophobic driver from another team--the very person who contributed to Davey and Tyler's outing.
This story does much to further the series by contributing information about the Supercross dirtbike competitive circuit. The character and circumstances of the narrative are believable, though many may squirm at the thought of a twenty-one-year-old man who was will to initiate sexual relations with a guy who was still a minor. Though Bryce's actual carnal experience doesn't begin until after he's eighteen and in a committed relationship with two men who love and care for him, the interaction can be creepy for those squeamish about huge age differences between consenting partners especially when one of the members is so young and inexperience. All in all, the book represents a realistic scenario where an older man is enjoying the attention of two younger partners.

Holeshot 2

Unfortunately I DNF this book. It starts with a long list of designer names for legal purposes. This had me thinking it would be a superficial group of characters. I crossed my fingers and carried forth. I stopped on chapter 19 cause even during the intimate times the brands were always mentioned.
