Publisher's Summary

From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Samantha Young....

Autumn O’Dea has always tried to see the best in people while her big brother, Killian, has always tried to protect her from the worst. While their lonely upbringing made Killian a cynic, it isn’t in Autumn’s nature to be anything but warm and open. However, after a series of relationship disasters and the unsettling realization that she’s drifting aimlessly through life, Autumn wonders if she’s left herself too vulnerable to the world. Deciding some distance from the security blanket of her brother and an unmotivated life in Glasgow is exactly what she needs to find herself, Autumn takes up her friend’s offer to stay at a ski resort in the snowy hills of Montana. Some guy-free alone time on Whitetail Mountain sounds just the thing to get to know herself better.

However, she wasn’t counting on colliding into sexy Grayson King on the slopes. Autumn has never met anyone like Gray. Confident, smart, with a wicked sense of humor, he makes the men she dated seem like boys. Her attraction to him immediately puts her on the defense because being open-hearted in the past has only gotten it broken. Yet it becomes increasingly difficult to resist a man who is not only determined to seduce her, but adamant about helping her find her purpose in life and embrace the person she is.

Autumn knows she shouldn’t fall for Gray. It can only end badly. After all, their lives are divided by an ocean and their inevitable separation is just another heartbreak away....

Be Steal My Heart!

Oh, be still my heart. I do love when Samantha gives us these bonuses! Autumn, we meet back in As Dust Dances, she is Killian O’Dea’s sister this was one HEA I was hoping we would get! It is set in the Big Sky universe and now that I heard Sips and Drips again I miss judged that it wasn’t in the same world. (That was the Racheal Van Dyken book) Back to Hold On Oh My God, Grayson and his words just swoon, my god, he is exactly who Autumn needed. They just clicked this whole book was amazing I am tempted to restart it because I loved it so much. It flowed, I was intrigued for being a short you don’t feel like you miss any character development at all if anything they feel like old friends by the time you’re done listening. I just loved it. I am a HUGE Elle Newlands fan her accent, my god, I want to hear more and more books by her.

Hold On

I read Hold On as a companion to the Big Sky series crossover, not having read much by Samantha Young prior (at least nothing recently). I enjoyed the book very much, so I wanted to listen to the audio, as well. I felt like the story was told better through reading the book, although I very much enjoyed Elle Newlands' performance. It was great getting the Scottish accent to go along with the storyline!

Wanted more...

Okay, I really, REALLY wished this wasnt a Novella! It was a whim romance between Gray and Autumn and after falling in love with Autumn's personality and heart in As Dust Dances, I wanted the full arch of her story. Elle Newland told the story fantasticly and her accent, voice, and storytelling is always great! Just wished I got to know more about Grayson and Autumn's backstory. Just my desire tho. This is a story that is quick, and if you're curious about what happens to Autumn after Skylar and Killian's story this ties it up up quickly, but not realistically for Autumn's past relationships for me. She did the same thing she had done with all her past relationships by jumping, not looking, and thank god Grayson just happened to be integral and a good guy that he didnt screw her like all her previous relationships. Autumn just happened to have chemistry with Grayson and that's how they "knew". I feel like this was a bag of chips I opened only to find it was half filled with air. 😔 I'm not a huge fan of novellas when it comes to telling a side character's story. Especially when they are a supporting character that was so interesting in an actual full length novel. Ill still continue to read Samantha's novels, just might have to steer clear of her novellas.

Too short

Good story. Just too short, little to rushed. No mention of Noah fiance. Missing a. Lot of detail, but still a good story.

could have been a good story

Did anyone else have difficulties following the narrative? it seemed to have no true narrator/ voice and yet a narrative from everyone at once. Author really needs to transition better from one perspective to another. Could have been a good story. Loved the plot and someone writing about a female veteran. Need a little more direction though with wiring style for me.

What a wonderful series.

This was a great series. I have not read the ones not written by Samantha Young but my hi open is that they will be just as good.

Just wow!

How much emotion and romance can 3 hours hold? Wow, amazing story that I listened to in one day. Autumn goes on vacation to the USA and meets (by accident) the love of her life. This is a love at first sight story with the twist that they live on different countries. So so good!!! And the narrator did an amazing job as well. Great accents and do much passion added. A must listen.
