Narrator lacked proper pronunciation

Great overview of the history of Taiwan however the narrator mispronounced so many words that it was very distracting. Qing dynasty, Chinese Hakka we’re just a couple examples of the many words he mispronounced over and over and over again.

in-depth knowledge

This is a great book about Taiwan history. The author has sharp observation and in-depth knowledge of the history of Taiwan. A valuable reference.

I enjoyed this book without question and I listen it with incredible delight. I liked this book very much and I listen it with great pleasure. I highly recommend this guide for those in need of this type of information.

Highly recommend this book to someone looking at having an introduction to this subject and its key concepts. the book was very engaging and instructor definitely knows his subject matter well.

Meh

Narrator tried their best, but the history is accurate. Dude wasn't very interesting to listen to, and his mispronounciations were jarring.

Formosa

Excellent narration in explaining the chronological events that shaped what i know now as Taiwan. Cultural and social clushes plus corruption at play, and slightly remembering the Tiananmen square.

Some clear editing mistakes

There were clear editing errors but good summary all the same. Reaching word limit plus.

Details such as, which beaches in Taiwan are suitable for an amphibious invasion, the exact nature of the waves of the Taiwan Strait, how many typhoons happen in the region a year,
