New day. Forbidden desire. Unspoken truths.

I've survived alone for four years after most of the world's population died off.

Until a deal with Mac leaves me his to break.

One heated night together awakens unfamiliar needs I don't understand.

But overwhelming emotions strike me down, consuming me with fear.

I run from the man who's been watching over me all along.

Now winter's chill threatens us both, and I'm torn between wanting him and fearing what we share.

It's up to me to accept this fragile bond between us, before it's too late to fix what I broke and I lose him forever.

A steamy short M/M dark and angsty romance set in a post apocalyptic world, featuring an OTT protective alpha hero, only one bed, and an age-gap romance.

I just love these little novellas! They bring me such joys. Even more so as audios.

Grayson Owens does little fawn justice. The emotion he puts in it is top tier. And his rasp? 🫠😮‍💨

I’m his little fawn, and he’s my bear

The audio of His to Break! Is perfection! Grayson Owens is perfect as Cal. His to Break is book three of the Wasteland Temptations series. We get to meet Mac (Rex's best friend) and Cal who Mac is in love with. The pinning in this book is pretty good. You'll feel kind of bad for Cal and will want to shake Mac! Five stars!
This book picks up at the post apocalyptic world! Over the top MMC.

My goodness these two! Cal is a needy guy and Mac is just the man to take care of him. Even when Mac doesn’t think he needs Cal in a more boyfriend kind of way. Spoiler: he does. Currency in the post virus world is basically touch and giving yourself to another. Cal decides he is too hungry and offers himself to Mac. Mac however takes things a little too far and that scares Cal. But, not so much in the “that hurt” way as in the “I liked that too much” kind of way. Mac however thinks he has hurt Cal and goes a little off the deep end. Cal brings him back with all of his possessive/needy vibes that Mac eats up.

Grayson Owens is new to me as a narrator but he was just fabulous and made this short story perfect.

Told in Cal’s POV, this time we met Cal and Mac, and what started as a sort of arrangement in this dystopian world, soon grew into something deeper, something , something more. Scared for that outcome, Cal runs away, but soon comes to terms with his own feelings and how he truly can’t live without Mac, nor he wants to.

Even though this is a fast paced novella, full of lust and emotions and stubborn men who can’t be away from each other, you can’t help but be swept into this story and be greedy for more. Cannot wait for the next part of this story (and the conclusion of the wasteland series)

Also don get me started on what an amazing job Grayson Owens did Portraying Cal and making sure we could love him even more. The way I could feel every emotion and was in my feels for most of the book? Perfection!!!

This is the third audiobook in E.V. Olsen’s Wasteland Temptation series. And just like the first two books in this series, I am amazed at how much story and genuine emotion this author manages to squeeze into a short novella. This one revolves around Cal and Mac and is told from Cal’s POV. We’ve heard snippets about Mac in the first two books and how he had chosen to stay behind and settle down in a small town. In this book, we find out why he chose to do that. He did it for Cal, to watch out for him. Cal has a crush on Mac but doesn’t believe his feelings could possibly be reciprocated. And he’s too proud to take help from Mac—even when he desperately needs it—when he believes any interest Mac shows him would be purely transactional. Mac is more than happy to break him of any such ridiculous notions. This story has tons of angst, spice, and heart. If it doesn’t hit you square in the feelings, then you may not have any. I’m really looking forward to seeing where this series goes from here.

The solo narration for this audiobook is provided by the uber-talented Grayson Owens. He expertly voices both Cal and Mac, bringing both characters to life with all the passion and emotion these intriguing characters deserve. I adored his performance of this story, and I absolutely cannot wait for the next audiobook in this phenomenal series!
