Ok

I really liked this book and would recommend it. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. I wish this author hadn't used God's name in vain. If not for that I would have given it 5 stars.

I read the book on Kindle a long while ago and was, so happy to see it on audible. I wish the narrator was a little better, but she was ok.

I wish this book was a movie or TV show. I hope we get more stories from the other couples in this book. I'm a fan of this author and will look for more of her collections from Kindle to be on audible.

Tried in audio and actually loved it

I bought this book years ago and it just didn't connect in ebook format. It felt like too much lovey times on the page and I'd get lost (not in a good way) by all the random intimate scenes. When it came in audio I figured I'd give it another chance and it was more enjoyable because I could attach a human voice to it.

The heroine was a bit too self sacrificing for me but it didn't mean I didn't like her. It had a lot of drama, which I like. The only thing I didn't connect to was the heroine's hair and ethnicity. Not so much lack of connection, but the way the author described it was confusing. One minute she's bragging how her hair was long and loosely curled based on her East African mother, but she cuts it and it changes the hair texture?

Is that even a thing? Hair doesn't go from 3A to 4C just because you cut it. That seemed like a detail that went over the author's head. Another thing was she seemed to be raised by an East African mother but there were no signs of it. Any culture on the African continent is going to have people proudly attached to their cultures, even displaying so by embedding it heavily into their children to retain the culture. So why was she cooking soul food instead of traditionally East African food?

It felt like it was a detail given just to give her stereotypical East African features but discarded when it wasn't needed anymore. I would've loved if it had explored the duality of being both African and American born Black. It didn't but i'll just trump it up to the author wasn't up for the research at the time.

Overall, I loved it in audio. I would read more of this author's work if more of her books were in audio!

Endless Love

Twyla Turner writes a beautifully written love story of self-discovery, acceptance, sacrifice and second chances. It's stunning... it will take your breath away. The writing, plot and dialogue is superb. Ryn and Etienne exuded this intense chemistry..their love was soulful, full of passion and all consuming. This story truly moved me.

With her narration, Rebecca Lee made this book come to life. Bravo. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer🎧

This is Absolutely my favorite book!!!

Can somebody say, “Where art thou Etienne?” OMG, you gotta love him! This is the best love story I’ve ever listened to. Except for a couple of repeated lines, the narrator did a fabulous job with the characters and dialects. I have never listened to a book twice, but this book will be an exception.

Mandatory listening for women over 40

Wow! This book was so good. It's a beautiful , erotic tale of a woman goes to Nice and finds herself, love, heart break, and love again. The narrator was new to me but I really enjoyed her style.

All in All...I loved it.

OMG WOW!

I loved everything about this book. Reawakening of life and love well written. This book made me laugh, cry and dread. The sex scenes are steamy and does not change with age. This is the best story I’ve read or listened to in years. I listened to this story in one sitting. This would be a great movie.

You don't know love!

I enjoyed the plot and was totally cheering for the lovers even when it was impossible. It was so refreshing to read a romance where the female lead is not in her twenties with an absolutely perfect body. Taryn was written as a flawed, real woman who chose to open herself to a new way of being in the world in her forties. I love it even when a fictional Black woman character steps into self love, pleasure and joy. The love and deep, soul touching passion in this book will make you question every relationship you've ever had or attempted cause clearly it was a failure in comparison. I enjoyed listening and have already recommended it to my friends.

Excellent. Poignant. Sexy. Real.

Thank you to the author Twyla Turner for writing such a beautiful story of love and personal discovery that features a mature, over 40 woman. Taryn is attractive but has the body flaws of a real woman. Etienne. Wow what a quietly beautiful old soul he is inside and out as he reveals Taryn to herself. Their encounters are fiery and gentle and always passionate. That once in a lifetime love story every woman longs for and hopes to achieve. Also props to the narrator Rebecca Lee who does an excellent job voicing the characters with distinction. You always know which character is speaking. Kudos to the author for an offering that is lush, sensual, erotic but also poignant and beautiful.
