You don't know love!

I enjoyed the plot and was totally cheering for the lovers even when it was impossible. It was so refreshing to read a romance where the female lead is not in her twenties with an absolutely perfect body. Taryn was written as a flawed, real woman who chose to open herself to a new way of being in the world in her forties. I love it even when a fictional Black woman character steps into self love, pleasure and joy. The love and deep, soul touching passion in this book will make you question every relationship you've ever had or attempted cause clearly it was a failure in comparison. I enjoyed listening and have already recommended it to my friends.

Sensual love story

Although the monotone of the speaker made me feel like the book was about to be boring.. It was definitely Not! The characters were infectious... Listen to this journey of love and chance..

Great Read

I was skeptical about the book, but glad I listened to it. I loved how Etienne and Taryn got together. Kari Taryn's daughter was a spoiled brat. I liked the fact that Etienne was determined to get Taryn. Taryn was frustrating. I'm glad for true love and Etienne and Taryn found it.

Beyond my favorite book

This book brings out every emotion! It is so so good! The writing style and storyline keeps you intently engaged. I found myself holding my breath, angry at points, and crying at others. Wow is all I can say. I need this to be a movie! the only book that I feel like I want to read again!

Sweet Passionate Story of Love and Finding Oneself

Due to some major commonalities with the character Taryn Reed, it's taken me a while to reread and review this story. It kind of shook me! Sweet perceptive Etienne. Every Taryn needs to experience one of those! If only people really followed their hearts and listened to their souls like these 2 characters they would find each other just like Taryn and Etienne did! The timing was a bit off and the road had some twists and turns but they were inevitable. This is a sumptuous story, beautifully narrated and so poetic. Magnifique!

This story resembles so many women who devoted their youth to husbands only to find themselves starting over in their 40s. This gives hope that true love is out their searching for each of us.

This Book Is Gold!!!

OMG.... Twyla Turner just became one of my favorite ❤ authors. Thos book is a gold for me! The narration was wonderful , the story was a breath of fresh air. I fell in love with Etienne and Taryn. I have to say that I dont think I could have done it.. She was the epitome strength and grace. I would have totally punkd out. Carrie must have thought she was "the" Queen . All of the lost time over nothing. The connection and the passion was sexy AF. When she came home for a visit.... HATERS ARE GONNA HATE!!! SMH. She didn't try to push herself into anything she was not ready for and she mourned for her loss and tried to move on the best way she could. She made lifelong friends and found herself and her new home. I was in tears by the end, then, I started it over again.
