Annoying MFC

The story was ok but Kaitlyn was so annoying. I don’t know how a man like him could have had any attraction to such an immature girl no matter how bonnie she was.

Sweetest male character ever

I loved this story. He was basically a dream guy. I had a lot of chuckles and now I’m looking forward to Lachlan’s story. Kaitlyn did get annoying at times, but not as annoying as most lead females that are too proud and difficult.

Original Premise in Highland Romance

I enjoyed the premise of this book very much: 5 children, one from a different clan, raised as brothers with the promise that each one would return to their clans as Lairds. This strategy was brilliant as it forged a bond and alliance between the brothers as each would support the others when needed. I especially enjoyed the banter between the brothers as it seemed genuine. Great first book in the series!

Too focused on sex for me

Literally 20 minutes into the book it went straight to sex talk. Too much too quick for me.

It’s a Familiar Story

This is another Highland romp. Names change, but mostly it’s the same. However, there was a disturbing nuance if one thinks too much about the theme. Most of these romances are merely vehicles to load up with raunchy sex scenes, This one is more so than others. It’s central theme was the sexual attraction between the leads (of course). If they weren’t thinking or talking about tupping, they were frustrated, anxious, curious or excited about it. Darrich is sort of lecherous. Caitlyn is of age, but she is written as though she is a much younger and innocent little Miss. The fabulous Rosalyn Landor voices her character accordingly and the end result is a bit of a creepster.

It’s like a comfortable old sweater. Great to listen to when you just want something relaxing.

One of the Best!

This was one of the best romance audio books I've listened to. I loved the story and the characters. I was sorry when it was over and I can't wait for more Alyson McLayne books to follow.
Now, excuse me while I go listen to it again. i don't think I've done that before.

I reccomend it

If Rosalyn Landor is narrating it, it is usually worth the read and this is no exception. Another poor defenseless woman is treated as a subhuman. Will it ever end?

GREAT BOOK

This is such a beautiful and thrilling love story that will make u laugh and cry !! I’m excited to read the next one in the series!

I loved the characters and the story. I laughed out loud at parts of the story. The narration was enjoyable as well.
