Publisher's Summary

While out on a mission, Noah receives a call that tells him something has gone wrong. Allison has been arrested, and there is an investigation going on into the recent admissions of Team Camelot. He is ordered to go to ground and stay off the radar until further notice.

Sometimes, though, things are not what they seem. While locked up in a special prison designed for political inmates, Allison is informed there is a conspiracy involving the highest levels of government that is designed to strip America of its sovereignty and its people of their rights.

A small group of conspirators are working as double agents, trying to stop the tragedies that will be used to bring about their goals, one of which will cost the lives of thousands of American children.

Allison is spirited away from the prison and sent secretly to Noah, where she gives him the orders he never thought he would receive: to assassinate American elected officials, including the president of the US.

Excellent, but not one of my favorites

It always makes me feel odd to say that an action thriller novel is not credible because reading fiction requires the ability to suspend disbelief. While HIGHEST ORDER certainly is intensely suspenseful, the story line is a bit too far from reality to have me give the novel a 5 star rating. The central character, other than Noah, is his boss Allison. The publisher's summary sets up this novel well. Adam Verner's narration is excellent.

Just WOW!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS... this has got to be the best and most intense espionage Noah Wolf/Camelot book yet. Team Camelot is sent out on a mission and in the middle they are pulled off. This never happened before. They find out Allison has been arrested and there are warrants out for the team. Jenny aka Cinderella is with them but she's in the clear. They're told to run. Get to Barcelona and they will get help there.
It seems there is a conspiracy between a few higher up government officials and a few in Russia. It's been called the Ascension Project and it's not good.
Be prepared, I think this is also Archer's most graphic novel yet. And at over 10 hours the longest. Yippeee!!!!
Adam Verner does an outstanding job narrating.
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATIONS.

Outplayed

This series has become what I imagine a romance novel would be. I won't return this one but I won't be buying any more Noah Wolf thrillers.

Weird

The narrators were atrocious and sounded insipid and vacuous! It ruined the story and the story itself was way out there.
