Cute, Sweet, Unique

I loved this book so much! It was a different kind of romance story while still fitting the “norm”.

One bed, forced proximity, good friend’s little sister.

But Zander is a big, buff, broody former Navy Seal and Kelly Jo is a country music good girl who is just a shade on the naive side.

Zander helps her come out of her soft naive shell and see the world a little more clear while teaching her to harden herself/stand up for what feels right to her.

She helped soften his edges and see what real love feels like. He grew up parents who adored each other and he watched his older brother whom was equally stoic and closed off as he is find a healthy relationship after a bitter one with his children’s mother and Veronica also walked out on an unhealthy relationship right into Austin’s world. Turned both of their perspectives topsy turvy.

HOWEVER Zander didn’t fully appreciate that until that feeling hit his own gut and reality started to sink in.

I LOVED that she said “I love you” first ❤️❤️

This beautiful book was narrated by Patrick Zellar and Amanda Stribling! They were so perfect for these characters it’s not even funny!

I was a little unsure about Patrick at first but he just settled in and for like a second skin.

I loved this so much! This was the first I heard of these narrators and they did so good! I loved the accent of the female she was perfect for Kelly’s character.

I loved the book so listening to the audiobook was a treat. Wonderful narration.

Zander and Kelly (Pixie Heart) are total opposites. Enemies to lovers. A reluctant body guard to a Nashville singer. It’s all a delicious, fun, romantic story.

Great love story

This is a wonderful addition to this series. It can be a stand alone and not miss anything. Kelly and Zander were perfect. I'm looking forward to the next book. Patrick Zeller and Amanda Stribling were fantastic narrators.

They had me at the 1 line chapters

It was the 1 line Xander chapters for me.

I’m still listening and this is an early review but I know my rating won’t change.

Not quite as good as Austin’s story

This story definitely had some great parts but it didn’t draw me in like Run Away Love did. I had a hard time with the voice and accent of the female narrator. It was too strong and pronounced and sounded almost childish. I liked the male narrator fine. I hope we get to hear additional Buckley siblings stories 🤞

A Bodyguard and a Singer

This is a trope that I love, so I was giggling awaiting Hideaway Heart. I love that heroine listened and that the hero trusted the heroine. I loved the banter and the chemistry. There was magic in this story. It was a good time.

Perfect blend of humor, emotion, and passion!

This! Hideaway Heart, along with Xander, and Kelly is everything that I crave in the stories that I love to read/listen to! It has the perfect blend of humor, emotion, and passion! Xander is an ex Navy SEAL who is back home, to be close to his family. He is about to open his own bar, when he gets a call from a friend who needs him to protect his sister for a couple weeks. Xander doesn't hesitate, knowing he owes him his life. What he didn't expect was the sassy, sexy woman who doesn't want him around. Kelly is a popular country singer who needs a break from the chaos that is her life. She has become something she doesn't like, and needs to figure out how to move her career forward in the way she wants. The trouble is, no one will listen to her, and there are those who are working against her as well. She tries to push Xander away so she can think on her own, but he is not easy to lose. Xander is determined to keep her safe, while giving her the vacation she dreamed of. The more time they spent together, the more these opposites started to like each other, have fun together, and their fiery attraction and desires became impossible to deny. They knew it was temporary, but what happens when their hearts become involved, and their lives are in different states? I absolutely loved everything about this witty, swoony, steamy romance, with a side of suspense. I fell so hard for Kelly and Xander. They were complete opposites that were so perfect for each other. I loved all their great banter, the back-and-forth, and all the hot sizzling chemistry between them. It was also fun to catch up on Xander's family who made this story even more delightful.
The narration was phenomenal. As much as I loved reading this story, listening to narrators, Patrick Zeller and Amanda Stribling bring these characters to life, takes everything to the next level. Zeller's deep sexy voice is perfect for the tough ex Navy SEAL yet added a tender side that made Xander even more fun, loveable, and sexy. Stribling was perfect as Kelly with her sweet and sassy southern charm and spot on accent. Both narrators conveyed plenty of heart in every word, and I couldn’t help but fall even more in love with Xander, Kelly.
This is a completely addicting story that captured my heart, and I loved every endearing, breathtaking, and steamy word!

So so so Good!! Love this book!

I love all of her books, and this one did not disappoint! couldn't put it down!! I bought it on Audible and Kindle, read it first, then turned around and listened to it. Zander and Kelly were just so good together.
