Very good character development

I loved this story! It was very well told. The characters had a lot of relatable characteristics. Well paced.

A great start

Loved this series. From the the imperfections of the detectives, the red herrings and suspects and the way it ties together at the end with one tragedy cascading to so many others. Glad to have found this series.

I really enjoyed this book, it kept me interested and seemed to be a very believable story.

Mediocre police procedural

The first half of the book was very slow. It picked up speed in the second half, and then came to a very abrupt ending. The characters were not particularly well developed and did some silly things. I suspect this is the start of a series, but I don’t plan to read any further of the books

Not enough crime work

Seems more like a small town saga then an actual crime novel. Not super engaging

Dark and depressing

Starts with a dark and disturbing crime. Damaged characters with little to redeem them. Unlikable characters with an expected plot line. The who done it is pretty clear very early on for any one paying attention.

Interesting Mystery

I have a difficult time with books that have been translated from different languages. The difficulties of comes from not being able to relate or fully understand the culture of the country & its people. I didn’t struggle with that in this book. I didn’t particularly like the protagonist of the book at first. I thought she was a little rough, but as time went on, and I further understood her situation that changed. Drama and mystery was very well done by the author and the narrator. Both had a good job. I would recommend this book.

This was great

This was such a great mystery, full of twists and turns , the narrator was very good at making the story great.

Realistic location in Sweden

I enjoyed the location as I have lived in Sweden. The action connected disparate threads into a cohesive story. The narration was great

Good one

I really enjoyed this author. It was my first book by her and I’ve purchased another. Good characterization and plot lines. She wove them together with aplomb.
