Totally Awesome start of a series
The narration on this was beautiful, the story was sublime, the mystery awe-inspiring. Ashley Keira is a new addition to the world of fantasy authors, her writing is both sassy and snarky, the cliffhanger leaving the listener panting for more as she Sophia pants for Adam, the romance slow burning and tasteful. This story defines honor, valor and true soulmate get to realize thus. I can just imagine the sequel! Warning, this will keep you up last hour bedtime, it leaves you numbering for more!!!

Young young adult book
This is definitely a youth book. If you like a lead that sticks out her tongue, blows raspberries, responds with “I’ll stab/kill you” to everyone, scoffs, and petulantly says the opposite of everyone, then this is your book. There is a dinner scene in this book at an upscale restaurant with the male and female lead that I absolutely cringed through the whole thing due to female leads childishness. This just wasn’t book book for. Narrator did a good job and i would listen to her again.

Sophia and her sister are mercenaries. Sophia is very adapt in camouflaging herself in plain sight. Sophia is Fireborn, with the ability to absorb magic which means the entire supernatural community is threatened by her. There isn't a lot known about Fireborn, other than the fear of them....and they're killed once found.
