first fiction book ever and did not disappoint

narrator was dope, engaging great voice and good tempo.will definitely consider other books from this narrator and author.

shifter king

A bargain of convenience for an unknown and a king. Their relationship was ambiguous and tenuous for most of the story until they learned about each other and developed a trust if sorts. I found it very disrespectful how many people treated the king. The ending took me by surprise and left me anxious. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

Enjoyable

Great story I couldn't put it down I had to finish it and when I did I didn't want it to be over. Bailey keeps it interesting with the flow of the story. I am looking forward to listening to the next book.

Great audio book

I really enjoyed this audio book. From the beginning it captivated me. I loved how it goes through the back story a little at a time and the plot is great. The characters were well written.

I enjoyed the book and found it an interesting and vivid take on a paranormal shifter romance. My one criticism is that it ends in a cliffhanger, I despise cliffhangers.

4 for performance, 2.5 for story

I guess this was ok. Listening to it got me through a tedious day of stripping wallpaper (and the narration was fine). But nothing about it stood out as exceptional in any real way. None of the characters were particularly well fleshed out, though I did like several of them. The world felt half-hazard and pieced together, though it had interesting elements. The plot was paper-thin, but not uninteresting. Unfortunately, it does end without anything being concluded. Some might call that a cliff-hanger, I call it just half a plot. But that's semantics. All in all a true "Meh" read if ever I saw one, neither horrible nor excellent. I MIGHT continue the series if I came across the next book for free, but I wouldn't spend money on it; if that tells you anything.

this is listed as a paranormal romance but is actually a paranormal drama. this is the first book and is nothing but build up and this book ends in a cliffhanger. (not a fan)
the narrator had one voice for the male and female parts and that was confusing at times. also no real strong emotions came through in her voice
the story premise is very engaging however but personally I found too much build-up in the story with no release or break.
