Really good story

I have enjoyed this tale about a triad made up of a bartender who is more than human and two commanders of the space station where California’s bar is. I like the fact that the heroine in this novel was smart, business save and caring about all who worked for her.

Why am I Surprised I'm Loving This?

I looked at this cover and assumed this was just going to be a thin story to hold up the 90% sex scenes. As usual, no matter what is on the cringe worthy cover, M.K. Eidem dose not disappoint with her mastery of world building and her fine balance of story points.

As some other reviewers have noted the main character jumps in the sack with little to no thought put into it but this is true to the characters mores, and her stated way of life and expectations of romance so it did not seem out of place to me. Times have changed and this book reflects this and i like her reasoning and attitude. If i could take all of the sex scenes out, or 90% of them, i would but they must sell books i guess. At any rate, they are well written and not to annoying to skip if you so choose.

I am a few hours in and really excited to find out about her ancestery, the cultures, the space station, I think there is a mystery going on. Lots ot dive into and be curious about and she is building them all up bit by bit around further building out the characters. LOVE this author, The covers do not do these books justice.

The author has always been one of my favorite authors. The book has been extremely well written and narrated. Sci-fi romances are the best books in my opinion. This story has action, intrigue, suspense and romance.
The narrator’s do an amazing job with the characters and the voices of each character making it easy to distinguish between the characters. I definitely recommend this audiobook!
