Along the way he meets the reckless gambler, Lord Montgomery and the beautiful courtesan Rhoda Pascal, and begins to chart a path towards fortune, and belonging. In growing closer to Rhoda, he starts to untangle the mystery of who he is, but Cathy's ghostly presence, calling to him like a siren song, draws him ever back to his own dark nature, and the bewildering memories of Wuthering Heights...

Engaging Read

When I read WH at age 12 in my girls' school, I identified with Heathcliff, maybe as an outcast. I remember reading and discussing the moors, the moors as a landscape feature, not as men, but I liked it this way, a lot more clear, and I wish my English teacher had hinted a bit.

This was a great radioplay for the girl in me that frankly won't pick up WH again. Enough exposition in the second half to remind me of the original. The acting was delightful and the story was...good to hear how an old friend was getting along in the world, too bad about the dark parts, but I do wish him the best. He's got a heart in him. I know how WH ends, but only vaguely and I'm satisfied.

Wonderful and imaginative

It was a wonderful performance by the cast and superb storyline by the writer. I highly recommend it to other readers.

This would have been a great stand alone novel. The perilous realities of mixing and bad company and being born into someone else’s reality.
