The way they weaved the three storylines together was brilliant.

By the time I got to the end of this audiobook, my thoughts were that this was brilliant writing from these two authors. Totally not what I was expecting. They are an incredible writing team and I've enjoyed reading their books before. But I'm not going to lie, the first part of this audiobook, I absolutely HATED. Warning: cheating that made me sick. I completely disliked the first two characters as well as their story. I do not feel anything, but disgust, for either of them. I didn't think I'd continue, and then it happened. We are getting three generations of story in this book. I became so engrossed that I didn't want to pause it. I came to love the next four characters/two couples in the story. This is a story that had to build. The way they weaved the three storylines together was brilliant. I became invested. I'm certain I'll listen to it again in the future, skipping some parts, but still worthy of a relisten!

Lexi Evans and Logan Anare are excellent narrators. They gave us an emotional performances that had the audiobook rolling like a movie in my head.

This is just sad

Poor Heather 😭 I have Kat. I don’t think she deserves Heather. He’s too good for her. I did enjoyed the stories of the other thou. Both narrators did an amazing job at narrating

A Dark Spicy Wuthuring Heights Retelling

This is a dark Wuthering heights retelling, I really enjoyed this, I loved when Nikki ash and K webster write together. The story is always amazing, lots of good spice and a great storyline. The only thing was I had a terrible time getting into it cause of the narrators, I wasn’t a big fan of there narration but that’s just my personal preference!Once I finally got into it I couldn’t stop listening!

This book was for sure a roller coaster ride. I'm still trying to figure out my feelings.

Part 1- I loved Heath and his over the top love for Catarina. Catarina was extremely self absorbed and annoying most times. There was so much back and forth drama in this love triangle.

Part 2 - I actually enjoyed this part much more. It was fun watching Cat and Harrison's journey to love and Heath's part in everything that happens. It was an overall interesting read.

Lexi Evans and Logan Anare did a good job portraying these characters.

Tragic (Hurts so good!!)

This was a really interesting approach to a dark read and vengeful character, almost with multiple stories merged into one. It made for a fun experience and prompted me to respect both authors for their execution.

It managed to show how people break, and get so consumed in their brokenness that they make poor choices … and it showed how people can come to make questionable choices in other circumstances. It showed the difference between happiness due to true love and manufactured happiness / settling.

🎧 Audio:
Excellent—both narrators sounded amazing for pretty much the entire book. There were a few male parts where a different voice was repeatedly spliced in—unfortunately it was a steamy scene so sort of a vibe-killer. But outside of that, flawless. Amazing performances from both narrators and great overall sound quality. 4.5 stars. 🦩

Revenge plot

I haven't read Wuthering Heights and I seen this is a retelling of it. I did go into it completely blind. I enjoy the writing of both these authors so I was surprised I didn't enjoy this story as much as I had hoped. I wasn't able to connect to the characters, but it is an interesting plot. Definitely give it a chance if you haven't already. You might end up loving it.

I did the audio. These are new to me narrators. They did a good job bringing the characters to life

This book is very interesting. Reminds me of The Princess Bride. The beginning of the book starts off with a grandmother telling a story to Emily about Heath and Catrina. How Heath’s love and obsession wasn’t enough. It also shows that money doesn’t make you happy either. This story then shifts to Cat, Harrison, Theo and Heath. I loved how each timeline and story melded together so smoothly. Lexi Evans and Logan Anare did a fantastic job narrating this book.

Very interesting story. First part of book is Nanny telling Emily about the obsessive love between Heath and Catrina. It goes on about money being more important than love, a betrayal of sorts then the unthinkable. The second part of the story is a mother telling the rest of the story about the love between two people and the revenge of a bitter man who is out to destroy everyone he feels took the most important person in his life. Three generation of story that is perfectly told.

Tragic retelling of Wuthering Heights

This is a retelling of Wuthering Heights. It is not the typical love story. This is how love destroys for generations. This story is told from other people's perspectives, often the nanny. The big question is love or money? Money or love? There is essentially a love triangle between Catrina, Heath, and Harrison. Catrina knows who she loves but when faced with losing everything or money, Catrina must choose. Admittedly, Catrina was spoiled. In choosing, Catrina ruins everything and everyone around her. This does not just effect her but multiple generations as well. If Catrina had known that would she had chosen differently? I'm not so sure. Heath becomes a very bitter man focused solely on revenge. Did revenge make him happy? I think it did not. Only one thing really mad Heath happy and that was Catrina because "when you know you know." We get the chance to see if the next 2 generations of their offspring make better choices all the while being embroiled in passions with one another. Sometimes the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. K. Webster and Nikki Ash together, knocked this story out of the park, even though 90% of it was tragic.
