So…..Beast is officially my new book boyfriend (staking claims, yall). The first book in this duet was pretty much straight edging and FINALLY comes to head (har har) in Chapter 7. And boy, does it come (argh, I can’t seem to stop, lol)!

You know how in books, he “claims” her? Yeah, everything you’ve read or listened to was straight garbage until……..wait for it…..Chapter 7. Beast was full on Gladiator /Cave Man / Beat My Chest And Claim My Woman“ mode. Um. Hot. Dang!

The rest of the story didn’t have the fast pacing of the first, but I still absolutely enjoyed it. I love how Beast was so different in this book. Instead of being so wound up, he laughs at his own jokes, loves hard on his woman, and kneels completely at her feet (not just THAT way, dirty girl!).

I do want to listen to the previous books that this story ties together, but sounds like the narration of the first trilogy isn’t so great, and the second trilogy is non existent atm.

I should have read the other books first by this author. I wasn't aware that this was the back story of characters that showed up in the "main" books first. But that's okay! this duet was amazing! This story has a HEA but doesn't explain how King gets what's coming to him.... that's apparently in one of the main stories. I adore the dynamic between Grim and Beast.

The narration was top notch! I loved both voices. I will be going to find the "main" stories next to find out the full story!!!

Heads You Lose

Heads You Lose is the second book in the Grim & Beast Duet. This book starts off two years after book one ends.

Beast is back after that crazy ending in book one. He will do whatever he has to prove to Grim that he's still her man and he will do whatever is necessary to get back in her good graces.

He kept a secret from her in the past, and now feels it's time to explain why he did what he did. As Grim and Beast try to repair the relationship, Grim discovers other secrets.

Can they get past all the crazy that is thrown their way? Will they get their happy ending? I really enjoyed this book, and hope to see these characters make reappearances in future books!

Dark Love Story

Amazing back story to understand Grim & Beast from Academy of Stardum. Great story line, performance, and overall set up.

Good story

After the mother of all cliffhangers this was a good story. Ended way differently than I have ever read a story before. I will read another story from this author for sure.
