Jim Dale's Grammy Award-winning performance of J.K. Rowling's iconic stories is a listening adventure for the whole family.

'Give me Harry Potter,' said Voldemort's voice, 'and none shall be harmed. Give me Harry Potter, and I shall leave the school untouched. Give me Harry Potter, and you will be rewarded.'

Close your eyes and enter the magical world of Harry Potter. In these editions, Jim Dale's characterful narration is so entertaining, fun, and theatrical you can almost hear the crackle of the fire in the Gryffindor common room.

As he climbs into the sidecar of Hagrid's motorbike and takes to the skies, leaving Privet Drive for the last time, Harry Potter knows that Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters are not far behind. The protective charm that has kept Harry safe until now is broken, but he cannot keep hiding. The Dark Lord is breathing fear into everything Harry loves and to stop him Harry will have to find and destroy the remaining Horcruxes. The final battle must begin - Harry must stand and face his enemy...

Having become classics of our time, the Harry Potter stories never fail to bring comfort and escapism. With their message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new listeners.

“Give me Harry Potter, and none shall be harmed.”

Story: this is probably my 2nd favorite book, next to the Half Blood Prince. The story has twists and turns to keep you at the edge of your seat, and how Harry and his friends manage to get out of trouble even when all hope seems lost.
Performance: I gave this 4 star because even though the story is splendid, I felt that the voices were a bit strange for the overall character, but J.K. Rowling comes in clutch with her writing. Definitely could be better narration, but still pretty good.
Overall: Great job! I loved this book, and the intense moments always kept me glued to the book. I will never stop enjoying this book!

A splendid ending to a thrilling series!

Horrid narrating on female characters. Made them sound old or mentality challenged. Story was good but could not stand the narration.

Bad narrating

The Deathly Hallows is a serious and bittersweet book with a lot of heartache. I hated that we had to lose beloved characters. However, I did enjoy learning the backstories on Dumbledore and Snape. However, after realizing just how awful Snape behaved toward CHILDREN in this reread, I just can't buy him, anymore, as the hero adult Harry makes him out to be at the end of the book. He did a heroic thing, for whatever his own reasons were, but I feel that, especially in literature, the title of "Hero" is less about one deed and more about a person's character.

That being said, the comparison between Dumbledore and Snape made by this book is so very interesting. Both of them did some seriously regrettable things in their pasts. Both of them spent most of their lives trying to make up for them by doing heroic things. In many ways, the similarities between them are astonishing. Yet they are viewed by most people so very differently. Why? Were Dumbledore's actions any better or worse than Snape's, really? Were their talents? Were their results?

Or was it just they way they chose to show up, the way they chose to "be" with other people? Snape was mostly angry and bitter and cruel. Dumbledore was mostly gracious and kind. In the end, they may have both been on the same side, but the way they chose to be with other people made a big difference. Interesting life lesson, I think.

yes, the movies were fascination. The books great. Then we come to a narration that simply takes everything a step above. The voices created to give personality to some of the greatest heroes of our vacation worlds is stupendous. I have listened to all the Harry Potter books, I have read all the books and seen the movies. Still, the audiobooks are my favorite. The author gave a gift of sheer joy to all ages. I am so thankful to have heard these stories.

I never tire of hearing the story
