Publisher's summary

He thought it was all a game…until he lost everything.

Tragedy has struck, and now Ian must try to reverse it.

Inside the virtual reality video game known as OtherWorld, he will recruit new allies…play politics with a duchess and an emissary of the Church of Eternity…square off against a trio of bounty hunters…meet a vastly powerful dungeon core who can bend reality itself…and encounter the most frightening opponent he has ever faced.

But most important of all, he will risk everything to save the woman he loves.

Warning: This is a story featuring naked women, threesomes, kinky sex, demons, warlocks, violence, revenge, and moral quandaries.

another great one

I love it. My favorite character in this was Deek the dungeon core. He simply stole the show.

Fantastic book!! Just like the rest of the series

Fantastic book!! Just like the rest of the series.

Can't wait for more.

This is the second time I've read a LITRPG series. I think the has just enough of the RPG to get the feeling for what going on with out the droning on and on about hit points. The comic relief always cracks me up.

In regards to my last review of this series -

- I wrote about the series actually being a story with sex and violence in it. And though this one does eventually get back to that, I am sorry to say this one is over 60% porn. Not just a few scenes, but much of the story seems to be written by porn writers. Just enough plot to go from one implausible sex scene to another more implausible one.

I really hope this is not an indicator for the rest of the series. I'm just enjoying LK Hamilton's Anita Blake series rising from a period of +80% smut. Oh mind you this is still a really good story, but it's losing the intelligence it had in previous books. Not just the shallow NPC's, but the main charger and advanced AI are making really stupid decisions. And I assume some of these events seem to be affecting more than just our heroes, but they just don't.

To Markam - please consider having more reoccurring characters, especially in the real world of this epic. And some more focus on the higher intelligence AIs of the world beyond Aleria. Maybe to a few scenes that only us listeners see to show some of the larger world. Is that Mob boss such a higher AI? If so, why does he keep throwing good money and lives after bad, or get his mob taken over by someone smarter? Where does he keep finding these tough NPC willing to throw their lives away for a bounty? And act very stupidly on their hunt as well? Seriously, how bullheaded does someone have to be to not realise that highly dangerous monsters running from an area probably means something worse is about to go down?? Especially when the guy you plan to torture and kill many times decides to surrender and leave rather that sick around???? AND WHY DID IT NOT OCCUR TO ENIN TO ALLY WITH THE DUCHESS AND THE ADVENTURERS TO FIGHT AGAINST THE DUNGEON GUILD AND THE BABY CTHULHU???? The city of Vaas may have been more saved, and it would not have been a three-front war against him.

Sorry for any spelling errors I made him names here. I listen to the audiobook. :-)
