Publisher's summary

The latest thriller in the Tom Keeler series, Hard Candy is an action packed story with more twists than a bag of pythons.

A woman fallen. Crumpled to the train platform, lying face up on the frozen cement, her life hanging by a thread.

A misplaced package. Hunted by people who will do anything to get it back.

The man with the familiar face. An old enemy working for a powerful new organization.

A crypto billionaire. He might be the richest man on earth, but money can’t save him from a professional hit team.

Tom Keeler. Traveling by train from Canada to New York City, Keeler gets stranded in the town of Kitchewan Landing. A blizzard’s coming down with the polar vortex, and an evil wind is blowing through town.

The Tom Keeler books can be listened to in any order. If you listen to only one book this year, this is it. A dazzling tour de force from the mind of one of the most talented writers working today. Action, adventure, courage, evil, and characters you can sink your teeth into. If you're looking for a new thriller series that will stay with you long after you finish it, look no further.

Recommended for fans of Lee Child's Jack Reacher, Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp, Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne, and Brad Thor's Scot Harvath.

Good Story

Fast paced, just the way we like it. Narrator pretty good. Always good stories. Have enjoyed this series.

Previous Reader

The reader of the previous three books got the main character better. This reader just doesn't fit this book or genre. He is an excellent reader but not for this. Bring the original back. An action hero should not put you to sleep or make it hard to follow.

Loved the new narrator

It took me a while to get used to the first three books because of the hesitance in the narrator's voice and his odd emphasis.
The new narrator, Tom Jordan, I find to have a much more seamless delivery of the book. I could concentrate on the story instead of on the narration.
Like the other books in the series, I found the storyline to be fast moving and compelling .

Superb

A really good & entertaining story. Tom Keeler is a solid & appealing character. He has his own morals & rules. One definitely wants him on own side in times of trouble.

Change is good

Was pleasantly surprised at the narrator change. Writing is good but the last narrator made it hard to listen to.

Take a Pass on this one

First, he should have kept Jeff Harding as narrator. My apologies to the narrator, Tom Jordan because I am sure he was doing his best but it all sounded like same/simular voice and was like a whisper w minimal inflection. Even the action scenes had no pizzazz Re story line, content and flow. I kept thinking I should quit now and return for refund from audible- kept thinking it would get better, it didn't.
I had read the other 3, they were 3s. Take a pass on this one. It was a painful experience.

Just awful narrating

I have to say that I loved the first two books. And I had been looking forward to this installment.

I thought the first two books were better than Jack Widow and even Jack Reacher (lately)... Jeff Harding gave the character a confident and trustworthy feel. I am sorry to say that the new narrator is whispering which makes it so hard to follow and therefore the character lack the confidence and cravery. And sometimes he has the female voice when a male character is speaking and vs vs.

Very dissapointed...
