Publisher's summary

If you’re a teacher looking to reduce stress, discover your inner joy, and reignite your passion for teaching, then keep reading....

You became a teacher to help others, but the never-ending barrage of new standards, curricula, data collection, classroom behavior issues, parent demands, and admin expectations make teaching one of the most stressful jobs in the world.

New trends in stress management, self-growth, and “happiness hacking” are abundant. But most of the information and advice seems to miss the mark with teachers or ignore them completely - underestimating just how little time you have.

You are drained at the end of the day.

You always feel like you should be doing something.

With years of teaching experience and a borderline unhealthy obsession with positive psychology, self-help trends, and happiness research, I have discovered the keys to being a truly happy teacher in the classroom and in life.

This audiobook is a practical, easy to follow road map to a becoming a truly happy teacher.

Inside, you will discover:

  • Four surprising reasons teachers are more stressed than they think
  • The secret tactics to beating the “Sunday Blues”
  • An “invisible” technique to melt stress even when you don’t have any time
  • How “time expansion” can reinvent your planning
  • A weird method for skyrocketing productivity and giving you more time for yourself
  • The three supplements every teacher should use to energize, sleep well, and boost mood
  • The one mistake you are making that is costing you your sanity
  • How to master mindfulness without one hour yoga classes

And much more...

Helpful strategies

I am happy I chose this book--there are several easy tips and strategies that I found very useful and more that I can't wait to try! I was surprised by the straightforward, "down to earth" language, though I was a little amused by how the narrator sounded using it. The book was easy to listen to and was over before I knew it. So much good info!

Quick book

Quick, finished the book after cleaning the kitchen. Good tidbits, especially Sunday blues, and supplements 😁

I loved the heart of this, But beware of language.

It was just what I needed.
I wish they would do a clean-language version so admin could treat faculty to it.

As listened, I felt known. It was like someone had been non-creepy-spying on me, even in the depths of my soul. It was like they saw everything, and *pause, swallow, tear rolls down cheek* that they cared about what I go through.
It made me feel like I could be a better me. Thank you. I needed this soul-hug.

Barely different than other habit books, feels Ai written

I was disappointed. Don’t waste your credit on this. It was short, full of cliches , massive section on supplements which at not really habits. Almost not citations of studies or personal experience teaching. I got the feeling that the author did a search on what google words would want kind of book and not actually a person with expertise. The first time I regretted an audible book. And I have listen to some pretty terrible cliched novels
