Publisher's summary

This ruthless crime lord's kindness comes with a price. Possession. Complete and utter.

Jazz: I'm a determined dreamer - at least I used to be. I put all my dreams on hold and withdrew every penny from my savings account to pay the debt my ailing father owes to a local gang.

Except, according to the gang's slimy leader, even my life savings won't be enough to pay the enormous debt my dad's accrued. And his leering gaze lets me know exactly how he wants me to pay the balance.

A ruthless stranger offers to pay my remaining debt. He's a tattooed crime lord, a cold, beautiful animal who regards me with dead eyes. The price for this kindness? Possession. The complete and utter kind.

You're mine, he informs me when I ask him why he did it, leaving me to figure out....

Is he my unexpected savior or my ruthless mistake?

Han: I learned from a young age that women aren't worth much. They don't stay. They're not loyal. They weaken you, then disappear at the first sign of trouble.

That's why I don't do relationships - especially with good girls who have no place in my criminal underworld.

I should stay away from her. Let her pay me back some other way.

But I can't. She's golden sunshine wrapped in a sexy little package, lighting up all the dark parts of my heart. And when she asks me why I did it, two words rise without thought or reason.

You're mine.

She thinks I'm the mistake, but it's the other way around. I don't do relationships. I don't even let women spend the night. But this one...

She has me breaking all of my rules.

All Hail Queen Jazz and her King Han

I really enjoyed and loved the narration for this story as I felt they did a good job of becoming the voices for these characters. The story itself was a great read. The power play that Han was going for along with the romantic suspense and of course the steamy moments were just delicious.

Kept me intrigued

This is the first book I have read/ listened to by this author and didn’t realize at first it was the 4th book within a series. It can definitely be read alone as well though. I may have understood Han a little better had I read the first books in the series but I still feel I got a really good feel for him. Han was super interesting to me. I enjoyed watching him try and figure out his draw to Jazz. Jazz and her great personality and attitude were awesome! She had me laughing and wanting to high five her badass self! I would recommend this book to others and plan on now getting to know the other two men in this series soon 😉

Wonderful narration and great multiracial story

First of all, I love discovering new to me but oh so good narrators. Clementine Dove has a sweet young voice, perfect for Jazz. And Rex Yune sounds authentically Asian and I absolutely love that this author went that route.

The story itself was great. Admittedly, as it was the first I have read from this author, I feel like I would have felt even more invested in Han had I understood the backstory of the Triad. There were many characters discussed that I think would have been recurring through the series. That said, excellent character development, wonderful chemistry and constant story evolvement with nary a boring moment made this a great story and I will be reading prior and future stories in this series!

Han

Interracial romance is not really my cup of tea but this one hooked me up, I simply couldn’t put it down, the book has everything action, romance fun situation and the actors performing Han and Jazz are amazing. Loved the way how Jazz ended up taming Han’s heart with hr honesty, smartness and how she was able to unlock Han and saving him, the Christmas party and everything that happened after that were very clever twists on the story I loved it.

Great

I really liked this book and would recommend it. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. I really wish this book was a movie or TV show. I like the real life events that TT covered in this book. Shining a light on sex trafficking, strip clubs and bad officers.

The narrators were great.TT this was a well written book. I like how you didn't have to use God's name in vain to have an awesome great book great job TT.

I can't wait to hear the other book in this series. I hope you use the same two awesome narrators.

Different than I typically Read but so interestin

I listened to this book in audio and it took me a bit to get fully into the story. There was a lot of things going on and I struggled to get to know the characters, but as I got deeper into the story I realized that was part of the character's traits and things started to make a lot more sense. I was hooked so deep to the story by the time I got to the half way point I had to find ways to keep listening I needed to know what was going to happen next. I really want to read Victor's story and all the others involved too.

Captivating and unexpected!

I really enjoyed this story. When I started this audio it took a few minutes to get used to the narrator's voices, but after that I breezed through this book. This mafia crime novel was a rollercoaster of emotions. This is the fourth book in the Ruthless Triad series and not having read the other books in the series left me a bit lost on the other characters, but I was able to eventually follow along.

Jazz and Han were interesting characters and they came together in an unexpected way. The story itself was very unpredictable and had me on the edge of my seat while I was listening. The story was suspenseful. I really liked how the relationship developed between Han and Jazz too. Both were hesitant to accept their feelings and my heart was happy when they did.

Excellent!!!

Jazz was so excited that she was finally able to purchase her old coach's surf school and camp. It had taken her two years and today was the day her dream was going to come true!

But, when she arrives home her dreams come to a skidding halt. Her father is on the floor bruised and battered. Instead of using the money her sister gave him to pay bills he had gambled it away...and lost.

Han is at the strip club meeting with the son of the 24K Dragons. When joining his brother in the Silent Triad, he had made it clear that he would traffic anything that didn't breathe but agreed to take out the names on the list of a sex trafficking case against the 24K Dragons.

After Kwan Jr. (as he calls him in his head) finally agrees to turn over office space for Han and he offers Han any woman in the club as a thank you for his help. Except Han doesn't do prostitutes. A fact that is well known. As he is trying to come up with a reason for turning down the offer, he is distracted by a woman's voice demanding to see K Diamond.

Jazz enters the strip joint to see two opposing gangs facing off and when she determines the man who threatened her dad, she approaches to pay off his six-figure debt. Her hopes and dreams were being handed over to a criminal. But, then she stands there in shock when he tells her that she still owes interest. Five percent per day for every day past due. There is no way she can pay that amount. It well exceeds what she is already paying since the game her father lost was over two months ago.

When K Diamond tells her he will allow her to pay off the interest by her dancing and later serving favors in their Champagne Room she looks at him in disgust trying to figure a way out. The head of the other group speaks to K Diamond in another language and then looks at her and tells her he has taken care of her debt and belongs to him now.

When she refuses to follow him, he throws her over his shoulder and heads for the mentioned Champagne Room where he expects her to perform. As she is trying to figure out how to escape this situation, he whispers in her ear that she needs to make a believable performance for the cameras to show that Han has claimed her or K Diamond would make her work in his club.

I loved this book and Clementine Dove & Rex Yune brought these characters and their story to life. It is action-packed and full of danger from page one. Jazz is a professional surfer and her dream is to teach surfing in her home state of Hawaii. When Han tells her that she has to be at his beck and call for two years to pay back her debt to him she is outraged and does everything she can to avoid him.

Being the bastard child of a cruel Triad leader and his mother deserting him as a young child, he had no interest in a relationship, but the more time he spent with Jazz the more he wanted to chain her to his side.

This book is full of danger and unexpected twists. Jazz and Han's relationship is scorching hot and hearing their story through the voices of these narrators made it even hotter. Clementine Dove & Rex Yune were an excellent pairing for this audiobook and I highly recommend listening to them!
