Publisher's Summary

The former Tin Gypsy motorcycle club has everyone in Clifton Forge, Montana, convinced they’ve locked their clubhouse doors and ripped off their patches. Everyone but Bryce Ryan. There’s more happening at the club’s garage than muscle car restorations and Harley rebuilds. Her instincts are screaming there’s a story - one she’s going to tell.

As the new owner of the small town’s newspaper, Bryce is hungry for more than birth announcements and obituaries. When a woman is brutally killed and all signs point to the Tin Gypsies, Bryce is determined to expose the club and their leader, Kingston "Dash" Slater, as murderers.

Bryce bests Dash match after match, disappointed her rugged and handsome opponent turns out to be an underwhelming adversary. Secrets are exposed. Truths defeat lies. Bryce is poised to win this battle in a landslide.

Then Dash breaks all the rules and tips the scales.

One kiss, and she’s fighting to save more than just her story. She’s fighting to save her heart from the Gypsy King.

Rushed. Unresolved plot. Unrealistic. Unimpressed

This book had a LOT of potential. First off let me say, the narration was on-point. Audible did a great job producing this one... with what they had. the issues are all with the story itself.

The good points: Characters were developed well in the beginning. Relationship between the main characters was engaging. But there are some MAJOR ISSUES with this story line.

The bad points:
A) It was ridiculously predictable. I'm not usually one who can figure out things before they happen but with this book, I kept knowing. There were zero surprises. That was a total let down.

B) The BIGGEST issue is that the main plot line is unresolved. I actually had to google it to see if maybe it was a 1 liner I'd missed. NOPE! The WHOLE BOOK is centered around a plot that's left completely unresolved at the end. Not only that, but it's COMPLETELY IGNORED. WHAT.THE.HECK?!?! That's called doing your fans dirty and not bothering to do your job and complete the story. It's dirty because it's trying to force fans to get your next book to find out what happens instead of delivering a complete, satisfying story and letting your work stand on it's own merit. Just Dirty. Until now, I enjoyed each of Devney Perry's stories. But this one is like she ran into a publishing deadline and wrote a quick ending without addressing the plot she spent the whole book working on. Which brings me to the next and final issue:

C) Character development was out the window at the end. MC suddenly goes from fearful and unavailable to in love and marry me. It was completely implausible. There was no explanation and no believability.

Book was essentially rushed and incomplete. I bought this before it was released on the basis of Devney Perry's other work. I wont be making that mistake again. And I can almost guarantee I'm going to google the plot summary of the next book so I get some resolution and save myself the time amd money of buying another book only to be left hanging. I dont know about you, but I dont like being manipulated to buy another story.

Sizzle sizzle BOOM

The sparks between the two main characters in Devney Perry’s newest book is off the charts. I was invested in their story from the first chapter.
Bryce is a big city hot shot reporter looking for a career story in the small town she now calls home.
Dash is the former president of the now defunct Tin Gypsy motorcycle club and owner of a thriving automobile repair shop.
Bryce is certain there’s something that needs to be told about Dash and his former club. Her hunch seems correct when a murder occurs and the prime suspect is Dash’s father and the former Prez...
I felt like this book had everything I love- hot alpha heroes, smart strong women and a story that keeps me engaged from word one until the final page.
Highly recommended to anyone interested in an enemies to lovers story.
The narration was excellent as usual from Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton

Great Love Story

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It's very different than anything I've read by Devney and she did such a great job balancing the rugged with the sensitive caring man Dash turned out to be. I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did. Great read.

Great narration! Good book.

I was super excited about this book and although it was a good book, good story and characters it fell after one that knocked my socks off (which is not the books fault) however it had me hoping for a repeat of that tingling feeling book high that was still in my blood from the one I just finished yesterday. This is definitely a good book though. Check it out. Teddy and Ava are always fabulous.

But..... what????

Huge unanswered question here.... hoping that it will be answered in book 2... I don’t recall this happening in the related series prior to this one.

gives smart women a bad name

The narrator's did a good job. The story was disappointing. I couldn't stand the main character, Bryce. I really tried to. I really wanted to! As it was, I couldn't make it past chapter 10 because I was so annoyed with her.

oh so very good!!!!

This book is absolutely perfect. This is a small town enemies to lovers story told in the most perfect way. Bryce and Dash have amazing chemistry that you can feel from their first interaction. There is suspense, witty banter, and some sexy times. Dash is the ex president of an MC Club that went legit, and Bryce is a reporter searching for a big story. They clash over and over again along the way, but the spark between them becomes explosive. I will be recommending this book to all of my book loving friends!! Teddy Hamilton and Ava Erickson are amazing!!!!

Unresolved

The story is unresolved. Who framed the dad? Who kidnapped Genevieve and Bryce? What’s the real reason for Isaiah and Genevieve being so secretive? Had high hopes for this series and was let down by the first book. Probably won’t read the others.

I cannot get enough of this series!! This book was perfection for me. The bad boy meets his match with a strong female reporter. I loved the evolution of the characters, I loved the plot line, and the narration was spot on. Devney never fails to make me feel all the emotions in her books. I devoured this series, and want more books!

Fall in love with the Gypsy King

Holy freaking amazeballs, is there anything this woman can’t do? Everything she turns her writing to, is gold, and this book continues her winning streak.

I adore the narrators on this one, they really bring the story and characters to life.

Gypsy King is Book one in Devney’s new Tin Gypsy Series, revolving around a decommissioned motorcycle club in a small town in Montana. The club was always causing trouble for the area and its residents, so for it to suddenly close up and its members become well behaved citizens, something doesn’t sit right with new to town reporter, Bryce. She’s used to big stories in the city she’s come from, and the apparent closure of the Tin Gypsies motorcycle club has her journalist senses tingling. On her quest for the story, she is thrown into the path of the former president of the club, Kingston ‘Dash’ Slater, and Dash likes what he sees when Bryce is in front of him, but she’s not interested in the club’s Prince, only what he can tell her for her story.

Bryce has a one track mind when it comes to her story, but agrees to a deal with Dash to work together to uncover the truth, sparks fly between the two, but in the end their connection is bigger than what’s really going on in their small town.

Bryce is a kick butt heroine, she knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it, she has sass and strength and doesn’t fall for the lines of playboy Dash, she knows how to play the game and guarantees to win.

Dash is a cocky, hot headed biker, with smooth talk for days, a killer smile and beneath it all, is a caring, protective, loveable man. He fits the biker profile, but breaks the mold when it comes to having morals, doing the right thing is key, and keeping his loved ones out of harms way is priority.

When these two work together, it’s explosive and the heat between them is off the charts. When secrets are revealed, Dash and Bryce stick together, but with someone after revenge, danger is all around them.

This story gave me all the feels, and I’m happy to say, I didn’t shed one tear, though knowing who’s book is coming next, I’m sure Devney is saving it all up to kill me with Isaiah’s book. This is an action packed rollercoaster ride, which keeps you in suspense the whole way through. I can’t recommend it enough, an outstanding start to what is sure to be another phenomenal series. Now I’m off to beg for book 2 to be released earlier, because I just can’t wait for it after the set up in Gypsy King.

Yes! But what?

Okay this book had pretty much everything I was looking for, a bad ass guy that makes you swoon, a heroine that makes you fist pump and a romance that makes you want to explode from the first kiss.
...But...
I have so many questions that went unanswered...
***little spoiler***
But who was the guy?
Did his dad go to jail?
Why was Genevieve so weird towards the end?
What’s Isaiahs story?
Who was Lee?
Why was his dad so reluctant to just tell the truth about everything?
There’s so many more questions I have that were left unanswered it annoys me, as much as I actually ended up loving this book, I just hope there’s a second to clear up some of these questions.

Good read

I really enjoyed this book but it ended so abruptly. This one finished with lots of unanswered questions so only read if you want to read the whole series.

I loved the characters. Both main characters were strong independent fiery people who fit perfectly together. I loved their HEA.

Looking forward to the next book so I can put my mind at ease! It’s kind of an MC romance but not really. I have a feeling that it might become more so in the next books but we shall see!

Narrators were fantastic. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
