Publisher's summary

Come for an emotional ride in this stand-alone romance by New York Times best-selling author J. Sterling. With Sterling’s laugh-out-loud banter and a trio of brothers you’ll fall for, this realistic story is a must-listen.

I’ve seen Frank Fisher before, but he’s never seen me. He definitely saw me tonight. And I know I wasn’t the only one who felt the world shift the moment our eyes connected from across the bar.

But Frank isn’t like his brothers. He’s quiet, elusive, and keeps to himself. It makes him mysterious, but that’s not why I’m drawn to him. It’s something else. Something I’ve never experienced before, as cliche as that may sound.

I want to be around him. Get to know him better. Explore what’s growing between us, but Frank keeps holding back and I have no idea why. Good thing I’m a persistent woman who doesn’t scare off easily.

Right?

I guess we’ll see.

The Fisher Brothers is a series of stand-alone novels that can be sipped one at a time, or binged in order. Each book is named after one of the drinks at their popular bar!

kind of hurried and predictable

I really enjoyed no bad days and was looking forward to listen to franks story and found it kind of hurried and predictable. I was bit disappointed.

love these brothers

Definitely a pond I want to fish in where the Fisher brothers are the best catches. I have been routing for Frank since Nick's book and now that he found his forever it makes me happy. I can't wait for Ryan's story.

So sick of these irritating women

Why do they have to make the women so irrational and unlikeable? They hadn’t even kissed and she was acting like. he murdered her darn puppy. Also, what women actually expects a new mattress for every woman? I just get frustrated with these stories.

another good story

(Frank & Claudia): this second book involves the rudest brother, Frank. Frank is a former baseball player now working in the bar he owns with Ryan and Nick. Claudia is from Columbia Ava works at the bank. One night after work, Claudia and her BFF head to the bar for drinks and to set their eyes on the famous Fisher brothers. They have a great meet cute, with the two of them becoming extremely nervously and babbling, also stumbling over each other. It's really cute. The chemistry is intense and immediate and Frank can't help himself. Only problem is…. He can't have what he truly wants. I liked this book as well as the first but not as much. I felt for Frank's situation but I also felt like he was lacking a bit of backbone. I do love however the healing relationship between the brothers and their parents. I like that it seems they are learning to appreciate and love each other for who they are. The brothers are still just as funny when they are together. The drinks created by the author sound amazing and I really want to know if they are real recipes and if I can get hold of them.

Different perspective

Like the point of view from Franks side. Rarely is a story told where ya don’t hate the guy… can’t say too much more w/o spoilers

It was…fine?

It wasn’t very deep, I’ll say that. Their relationship didn’t have much to unpack. The plot itself was good enough, but honestly it wasn’t really this grand love story. Without spoiling it, it was really just two people meet in a bar…and then nothing happens. And then more nothing. And then suddenly the book is done, and they’re in love.
It didn’t cost me any credits, so it was a nice in between book. But yeah, nothing really to grab onto or pine after in this relationship.
I love Tim Paige’s narration always. I wasn’t crazy about the female narrator. It was too breathy and husky into the mic. A lot of the time I was like alright chill man. Lol.

Meh

I love audiobooks because the narrators (if good) bring the story to life even if the story can be drawn out unnecessarily. Not in this case unfortunately. Narrators we’re all wrong for this one. Female voice was cringe worthy (☹️). Couldn’t get into her character or the roomates. It was awful. Male voice a bit better but the east coast accent kept throwing it off. I understood Franks position but too much inner turmoil. Same for Claudia who’s accent was non existent. Hopefully next one will be better
