Publisher's Summary

From Grammy Award-winning music superstar and actor Tim McGraw comes a one-of-a kind lifestyle audiobook that melds his personal fitness transformation story with practical advice to inspire healthy changes in listeners’ lives.

Tim McGraw is as well-known for his unparalleled accomplishments in the entertainment industry as he is for his boundless energy - he is the embodiment of vitality and success. But only a decade ago, he found himself struggling with his health. The demands of his meteoric career and life on the road had taken a toll. McGraw came to a crossroads where he knew that unless he made his physical health a priority, he would put his personal happiness and professional success at risk. In Grit & Grace, McGraw shares his transformation story along with encouragement, inspiration, and real-life, practical advice to help listeners become healthy, strong, and fit in mind and body.

For the first time, McGraw will share the details of the mental and physical routine that got him in the best shape of his life. He suggests that there is no magic formula to getting stronger and healthier: It is about making a commitment to do and be better and holding yourself accountable each day. McGraw didn’t follow a playbook or have a squad of trainers overseeing his every step. He describes his way of getting into shape as more "maverick" - tuning into a vision of what you personally want to achieve, staying focused, and putting in the work.

McGraw says his physical transformation has ignited a whole-life transformation. "My mind is clearer, my sense of purpose is sharper, and my relationships are deeper. Consistent physical exercise helps me bring focus to my life and to the people who mean the most to me." In Grit & Grace, McGraw makes this transformation accessible to anyone, sharing with listeners the physical and mental tools they can use to create the life they deserve.

Disappointed McGraw Fan

The book started out amazing with Tim narrating and you hooked me and then Eric started. Although,Eric has a clear voice and probably would be fine if it was not Tim’s story. Kinda creepy when he talks like he is Tim. I’m going to try and listen until the end but I think Tim McGraw you missed your opportunity to have a kick ass book. Disappointed here in IL CM

The book is not narrated by Tim McGraw

It started out great with Tim McGraw but then they switch narrators and screws everything up. It doesn't make sense to have someone else talking from Tim McGraw's point of view. The other narrator starts talking about being on tour, singing, his wife Faith and kids, etc. You lose the connection. After about half way through I returned it... Just couldn't take it anymore. The content was good so I may end up just buying the actual book and reading it. I'd repurchase if Tim McGraw narrated the entire book not just the intro. It's very off-putting to have someone else read his words to you. Too bad because the content is good and I think lots of people could get value from what is in the book which is why I may buy a hard copy and read it without the narrator. Big let down on Audible by Tim McGraw. Only reason I didn't give it 1 star is because the content was good. Zero stars for execution.

Excellent read

Although I love Tim McGraw and that’s what got me reading, this is a great motivator and overall self improvement writing. Whether you need to lose weight, build muscle or clear your head, this book will help.

Narrator makes this super boring

I am having a really hard time listening to this one. Still not done with it and not sure I can finish it. Narrator made listening to this so freaking boring. I couldn’t tell you if the content is good or not because I can’t stand listening to it. Ugh. I wanted to like this and I was looking forward to Tim McGraw telling his own story. I'm sure Tim would have delivered it with much more enthusiasm and authenticity that would keep the listener engaged. Very disappointed in this audiobook.

Where is the PDF?

Nice book great motivational information. I didn't get the PDF. Narration makes it difficult to keep listening. A second version with a different narrator could be a solution. Cheers!

Where’s the honesty and authenticity?

Where’s the honesty and authenticity? Tim McGraw does not read his own book. Tough listening to an actor telling what should be sure a personal story, especially when he poses questions to himself. Disappointing.

What a waste of a Brilliant book... such a Shame

I bought this because I have loved the sound of Tim McGraw and his outlook on life is superb and positive. Then on listening to it read by a pale imitation of him (well read by him ... BUT it is NOT Tim) I began to hate this person talking about how tim lives and sees a positively in all things It began to grate on my nerves and in the end I zoned out to a point that it became white noise with no context or passion. Why Tim wasted his time writing this amazing book the knot reading it HIMSELF is beyond comprehension and to be honest a waste of my time and money. The whole book is about a life changing attitude and plan for living life to the Full read by someone who is reading it in a crappy accent and placing emphasis on words or paragraphs the if read by McGraw I would embrace and believe but read by this narrator it made the sections Drone in a way that switched me from being positive to being patronised by someone who is disingenuous to the concepts and reads it with a tone that makes me want to sit down and order takeout food SUCH A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY If it was read by the author I would be a convert to all of it as I follow McGraw in all he does but I got bored and felt cheated by this VERY pale imitation of a brilliant musician and actor. NOTE TO AUTHOR... Read it yourself... you have passion and a beautiful tone to your voice... WHY PALM YOUR WORK OFF TO SOMEONE ELSE... IT is like listening to a bad karaoke singer do your concert.. Grow up and be loyal to your fans this is a disgusting immiutation of the brilliant book you have wrote.. I hope you decide to voice it yourself as the message you relay is a needed one for many of us..
