Publisher's Summary

“My family could accept me being gay, but not trans.”

James is in trouble. His family turned their back on him after he transitioned, and he was forced to start his new life without them, but now he's paying the price. Buried in debt, his last chance is to start a business with hunky carpenter Ryan and hope that they succeed. The one thing he can't afford is a distraction, but what if Ryan is the only one to see past it all and love him inside and out?

“Strictly-business is hard around you."

Ryan Hart doesn't rattle easy. From lazy contractors to being the last single friend, nothing bothers him until he meets James. Ryan's new business partner pushes him to follow his dreams, even though he faces problems Ryan's never considered. Ryan doesn't back down from a challenge or from threats to his business, James's hard-won privacy, and their future together. As business partners, of course. Nothing more.

“I can't believe they don't see you as the man I love.”

They both know mixing business with pleasure is a bad idea, but the pull between them is too hard to resist. Can Ryan have it all with the clever, caring, bossy guy who's won his heart?

Grind is a steamy gay romance novel with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger.

Don't end!!!!

James a trans man in the process of figuring out his life after leaving his family and hometown. James and Ryan meet and they end up becoming business partners.
They try to keep their attraction to each other at bay, but it is a losing battle. I loved this book so much and am so sorry to see the series to come to an end. I can't wait to see what this author has in store for us in new books.
Michael Pauley's narration is absolutely amazing as always.

Excellent conclusion to the series

I have loved every book of the Riley Brothers series, and this was no exception. I liked Ryan's character in the other books, and he deserved to find his man. This was my first book where one of the MC's was transgender, and I am pleased to know that I have learned quite a bit and enjoyed reading it. This book was so well written! I loved reading about the struggle, and subsequent happiness, for James. Ryan was such a great match for him, and I am glad they found each other.

I did a re-read if this, by audio book the second time, and I loved it even more the second time around. Perhaps it was my own growth and education in the years since I read it, but I absolutely loved James and his story as a trans man. Add Michael Pauley’s voice, and it’s a totally dreamy story to listen to. Absolutely fantastic.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review

Finding your person

I love this story. Ed Davies takes such care of their characters and knows that they deal with enough problems that they don't need to overly stress about their new partner. James and Ryan are lovely characters that fit together wonderfully. They encourage each other and remind each other that they can do what they want to do and be who they know they are.

I like Michael Pauley's narration and enjoy his take on the characters. He helps bring them off the pages.

Sweet & Beautiful Perfection!

This whole series has been spectacular but this story is truly beautiful. Ryan and James are absolutely perfect together and I love how easily accepting and supporting Ryan is of James. He even goes above and beyond by researching and learning about being trans. I loved watching their relationship grow from business partners, to friends, to lovers. Unfortunately this is the last Riley Brothers book and I'm sad to see them go.
The narrator is absolutely spectacular with the story and brilliantly portrays all of the characters and emotions. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

Sweet and absolutely perfect

I really loved this book and the characters in it. It’s always fun reading more about the Riley’s and their large group of friends and family. Getting to know more about Ryan and meeting James was just so much fun. Ryan is laid back and easy going so he makes the perfect partner for the sassy but wary James. It was great getting to know James and learn about everything he has been through on his journey to being comfortable in his own skin and happy with who he is and wants to be. As a parent I can’t understand those who would be so incredibly cruel to their children and disrespectful to their wants and needs in such a way. It is wonderful to see that James found a very loving man, in Ryan, and his supportive friends to help ease his love for in anyway they can. He is funny and smart and lots of laughs when he gets comfortable with someone. I really loved how incredibly sweet and easily flustered Ryan can get, it was fun to see them connect with one another so easily. I love how Ryan researches things so that he can understand more about how not to make James uncomfortable and even unintentionally hurt him in some way. He was thoughtful and kind and so supportive of this man that he barely knew it was amazing. I really enjoyed the narrator and the job that he did bringing these guys to life and the people around them.

Excellent addition to this series!!

I have loved the entire Riley Brothers series and I'm so glad that Ryan got his story and HEA. I haven't read or listened to very many books with trans characters but I really like the way this author handles the topic. This story is very well written and does a good job of encompassing what I am sure many trans individuals have to deal with. Ryan and James made a wonderful couple and I loved seeing their relationship grow. They worked very well together just as business partners but once they took it further it was easy to see that they belonged together.

The narration was very well done as only Michael Pauley can do narration, very enjoyable listen.

I'm so sad this was the last Riley Brothers book.

I loved this book where E Davies introduces us to James, a trans man in the process of figuring out his life after distancing himself from his family and hometown. When James meets Ryan, the quietest of the Riley brothers' friends, they become business partners and will try to keep their attraction at bay, but this will not last long.
Michael Pauley's narration is outstanding as always!

Can't wait for the next.

Another great one narrated by Michael Pauley. James and Ryan are wonderful characters that grab you. Add in the right tone and flow with audio and I can't get enough. You get to hear each of their personalities come to life. Sexy, sweet and adorable surprises with each new book in this series.

Beautiful End to a Great Series

Easy going Ryan usually doesn't let anything bother him. He deals with contractors who don't do as promised enough in his carpentry business. Between that and being the last single friend of his group, he doesn't rattle often. But then he meets James, his new business partner. James lost his family after they disowned him after he transitioned. Because of this, he is now buried in debt and starting the business with Ryan is his last chance. James can't afford a distraction, Ryan doesn't avoid challenges. But is mixing business with pleasure worth it?
This is the last of the Riley Brother Series, and it is sad to see the end! This was such an amazingly beautiful and diverse set of books written by the very talented E. Davies. Like all his books, this is one that beautiful, sexy, intriguing and powerful! Each of these books show the true meaning behind Love is Love! I really wish there was more to this series, but this is one series that I can listen to over and over again!
Michael Pauley did such an amazing job with the narration of the entire series! He really outdid himself giving life to the characters, making them feel like a part of the family!
