PHENOMENAL

I truly loved this book.. although I was saddened that Zuri ultimately lost Stephon in the end. I oftentime found myself screaming "really Zuri..????". In a general sense, one may not have looked at her desires to want better things in life as greed, but when you look at her wants, put together with how her acceptance of the gifts, attention, etc caused her to neglect her loved ones.,I began to see how GREED was the root.

So Mad!!!

You could have added a few more chapters!!! Forgiveness is a crucial message for an ending!!!!

Good narrator. The story was captivating. I felt every emotion that the character felt during the epilogue.

The grass ain’t always greener

When I think of Zuri, the “grass is greener” cliché is what comes to mind. She wants a taste of the “good life” but doesn’t realize there’s always a cost. And it was one she ultimately couldn’t afford. I could empathize with Zuri to a certain degree. I didn’t think it was wrong for her to want certain things in life. We all do. But the way she went about it was how she lost me. I started to figure out the twist early on but it didn’t take away from the story for me because I had to know if my assumptions were correct. I loved the narrator. She did a great job of bringing the story to life. Even though I enjoyed it, this wasn’t my favorite in the series thus far. Envy, the second book still holds the number one place for me. I’m looking forward to the Lifetime TV movies and the next book in the Seven Deadly Sins series.
