Team: A.L.P.H.A.: Six battle-hardened alphas with one goal - to save any omega in peril

Preston Tierney, the omega son of a prominent senator, has been taken by a secret group with an ax to grind. Party boy Preston was just out looking for a good time until he was grabbed - plucked right from a party in the middle of a crowd. When he wakes up, he finds himself caged like an animal in a remote cabin far from home.

Noah Perkins is a strong alpha who leads his unit with a strong hand - and a great sense of humor. The last thing he expected when he went to free the sassy little thing in the cage was to scent his own fated mate.

Noah and his crazy crew must free Preston from captivity - from his kidnappers, and again from a source much closer to home than they would’ve imagined - while Noah tries to figure out how to tame his bristly omega and truly embrace the team’s motto: Accept, Love, Protect, Honor - Always.

This is the first in a new series but can definitely be heard as a stand-alone novel. You can expect to find naughty, knotty scenes of steamy passion, along with a lot of potty-mouth language and some violence. No jackals were harmed in the writing of this book - unless they kinda deserved it. HEA definitely included, intended for listeners age 18 years and older only. Seriously, would you expect anything less from Susi Hawke and Crista Crown?

Sexy short read

It was fun enough, the alpha was hot and the omega was sassy, with the physical scenes very sexy. I did have a hard time with the performer, I felt that his acting didn't quite make it for me, both characters sounded alike, and it was a good thing that the book had multiple points of view, because Noah and Preston would have indistinguishable. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Loved the book.

Love the book and series. One of my favorite authors. Didn't make it through the first chapter. The narrator was monotone and didn't fit the characters. Gave it 2 stars because I like the book.

Great story!

What a great little nugget.
Very well done story.
I’m not sure about how I feel about the narration
But some how it worked.
I will listen to it again....narration if not too bad.

Great Audiobook

I read this first on my kindle and loved it. I am pretty new to audiobooks but I discovered they are great for the drive to and from work. I'm amazed at how diverse the voices were in this audiobook. Peter B. Brooke does a great job. I actually preferred some of the side character voices more than the main couple's voices though. Being new to audiobooks, it did take me a bit of time to used to his reading voice. I tend to be more attracted to unique sounding voices, so kudos to him for winning me over with a more 'normal' voice. He does a great job of distinguishing all the character voices and only a couple times when I wasn't paying enough attention was I unsure of whether he was reading or speaking in a character's voice. There are a LOT of characters and I commend him for finding a voice for each of them. None of them sounded the same to me, which is pretty amazing. I was immensely impressed by his voice of the creepy guy in the mental hospital, extremely effective! He made that minor character come to life and I could picture his creepiness.

The actual story is fantastic. Preston is realistic, a rich but neglected young man. Without love, he's rebelled. Noah is badass but kind of socially clueless. I love all the different characters, each with their own personality. The dads are great, love them, especially when they talk to Noah after he messed up with Preston! Preston changes a lot in this story; love gives him the opportunity to grow into someone he is proud of. Team ALPHA is a family and it shows. I truly enjoyed this story both in the book version and the audiobook version.

awesome read

I loved this book but it was hard for me to listen to. But that is purely based on my need for hearing aids. I was not able to follow along as well as some other books. I love all of the books I have read by the authors and do recommend this book.

Good start to a series

Noah is a team leader of Team ALPHA who finds his Fated Mate while on a mission. Preston is the party omega son of a senator kidnapped. Fate brings these two altogether but misunderstandings and the sleazy senator threaten to heartburn apart.
Fun narration brought characters to life with a very entertaining story. Great audiobook!

Action packed new series by Hawke & Crown!

4* Story: Grabbed introduces you to Omega Preston and Alpha Noah in this new action-packed series by Susi Hawke and Crista Crown. Preston is the son of a Senator and is used to being able to do pretty much whatever he wants. He is kidnapped during a party by other shifters trying to bring down his father and then is rescued by Noah’s alpha team. Noah is the leader of the alpha unit sent to rescue omega’s who have been taken or harmed.

I loved Preston’s character in both the book and the narration. His snarky attitude and range of emotions were well executed. “Who gets kidnapped twice in the same week?” It was great to see Preston grow up before our eyes and take responsibility immediately for all of his actions.

Good lord Noah though. He is a bit of a clueless alpha male only focused on his mission for the first part of the book. I am so glad that he got his head out of his behind to realize how much some of his initial actions hurt Preston and grew to be an understanding mate. His dads were a great resource for him and each of the team members brings a new skill to the table. It will be good to see how their stories progress.

4* Narration / Performance: Peter B Brooke’s narration was easy to follow without having to read along and could pick back up a few days later and figure out which character voices where which. First time listening to this narrator but will not be the last. Was able to do some of the different accents very well (at least to my untrained ears).

4* Overall: I love reading and listening to Hawke & Crown’s books for their light and easy storylines and the HEA! Grabbed flowed well while being read aloud. Would recommend it and am excited to listen to the next in the series.

Super sexy alpha shifters

This is a throughly engaging story of Alphas and their Omegas including Mpreg. I was drawn in from the outset when Preston is trying to party away his stress and aggravation with his overly controlling political father. Preston is kidnapped, and the super A.L.P.H.A team that are sent in to get him includes his fated mate. The lucky Alpha is Noah, the leader of the rescuers, and he's delighted to scent his fated mate, even if it turns out to be a sassy Preston that needs a firm hand. Just what Noah needs to give!
The lover don't have it easy, but with the love and support of Noah's dads and Prestons long lost mother, the ending will be a happy one.
The narration was clear, but for me, lacked decent characterisation, at times being rather monotone.
On the whole,I heartily recommend this audiobook!

Great story.

I really liked this story, it is complete, but I’m looking forward to the rest of the series. I thought the ending was a bit of a let down, without giving away spoilers I think it wasn’t harsh enough and a little too nicely wrapped up. But the story it’s self was really good. The friction between them, the fact that by staying in character was what caused misunderstandings, not some made up situation.

I truly didn’t like the narration. Most of it was monotone, with no inflictions. It got a little better towards the end. I couldn’t tell the differences between characters, or scenes or what was spoken out loud or thought. The fathers did have a different voice though. At some stages it was as though my kids were reading, the end of a line sounding like the end of a sentence, but then it continuing not noticing when it was the end of a sentence.
If the story wasn’t so captivating I would have not bothered listen to the end.

I would love to hear more of these boys.

Really good story with OK narration

I really enjoyed reading this. The story line was interesting, unique even. Party boy Preston is kidnapped and rescued by Noah and his team. Even though it's a fated mate, mpreg trope, it's a unique story. The banter between the characters is fun and the supporting cast well fleshed out. Definitely will be reading the rest of the series.😊

I don't think I've listened to Peter B. Brooke before, but I'd likely listen to him if he narrates the rest of the series (hoping for more audio :)) I'd rate the narration a 3.5/5.
He does a really good job distinguishing the characters, but his cadence was a little 'off', (to me), on the non narrative parts. I got used to it, helped along by an interesting story. There were some points where I thought the narration didn't convey the emotion of the characters - when one MC was surprised, the narration tone didn't reflect that.
Overall, not a bad way to experience the story.

Hoping the ebook is better

So the concept of this was good but the execution was flawed in two ways. Firstly the narrator had the oddest pauses throughout his dialogue, and if I hadn't agreed to review it I might well have given up after the first 1hr & 20 mins of listening to him. Secondly by the author/s. So I've read Susi Hawke and enjoyed her writing in the past, therefore am inclined to think it was Crista Crown's influence that made the story so cheesy and cringe worthy, though I could be wrong. It started off fine (as long as I put up with the odd style of narration) and the story was going well but suddenly it just sped up and rushed through the second half of the story without anything substantial for me to enjoy.

I have the other books in this series on my ereader and I intend to give the next one a try, to see if it was just the narration that threw me off or if it was truly the fault of the writing too.

Enjoyable enough

I had already read this book in ebook form and had enjoyed the story so I was looking forward to the audio version, I was slightly disappointed as although the narrator Peter B. Brooke has a lovely voice, the narration seemed choppy and not cohesive highlight me out of the book, but say in that I still enjoyed this book and look forward to the next being brought to audio

brilliant

I loved listening to this book the storyline is so well written and fell in love with Noah and Preston all over again. Peter Brooke was an excellent narrator as he brought the characters to life so can't wait for these all to come to audible
