Very useful guidebook

If you are familiar with Ads and Analytics, and looking for a useful companion, this book fits the bill. Snippets of code conveniently included. Off-book references to the authors site are also moderately useful as well. You will pick up some useful tidbits here if you are an experienced user. A bit intimidating for the beginner, however.

Excellent book - practical and approachable.

I was fairly experienced with Adwords when I bought this book, so I skimmed over the simpler how-to stuff. Still, I found the author did a good job of delivering valuable guidance. For example, every Adwords book should tell you not to stuff a hundred keywords into an ad group. Since this is a big temptation for us PPC junkies, that should be repeated at least three times. The book does a good job of warning you against that and advising you in a comfortable but authoritative manner about advertising on Google's search engine platform.

experts advice

This is an advance guide not only for beginners. I saw myself as an expert before now but having stumbled on Google AdWords. It is so obvious am just beginning to learn. You have the experts advice in this book.

If you are new to Google Adwords, I would recommend this before the online documentation from Google, as this is simpler to comprehend.

Powerful content, AWFUL narration

The content in the book was pretty good, but the problem was the narration. The guy was so monotone and read it like a 4th grader learning to read. Get a new narrator and republish.

Great guide

You want to optimize your advertising campaigns for the highest placement at the lowest cost. The Ultimate Guide has a wealth of useful advice for this objective. The book has a thorough discussion of split-testing your ads to improve their "click-through rate." It introduces the "peel and stick" strategy for creating separate ads for the most effective keywords.
