Just what I needed!

Sometimes I crave a deliciously forbidden romance and this was it! I found myself invested in Indie’s backstory from the very beginning. So, when Astor Banes (her boyfriend’s dad) helps her out of a mess created by her mom, I was squealing with delight. Their spicy scenes were sensational and it was a treat to not have to wait with a slow burn. I will definitely go on in this series I really enjoyed it!!

There's just something about a ex boyfriend's dad romance that makes me giddy beyond belief. Golden Wings and Pretty Things was possibly one of my favorite FHD storylines. I loved how they started, how they ended and everything in between.

Astor was DADDY. That man was absolutely filthy in all the best ways and I loved him. The possessiveness over Indie had me swoooooning and I adored how much he cared for her. The hospital scenes? *sobs* I love when alphaholes have squishy centers.

The audio was fantastic. I love Michelle Sparks and Lee Samuels was so great voicing Astor. I'm so excited to listen to Butterflies and Vicious Lies up next.

Loved this one! I want to be a good girl! I won’t leave any spoilers but this one was worth the read. Excellent narration!

The story was okay and I enjoyed it for the most part. Narration was great i enjoyed both voices for Indie and Ashter

As much as I enjoyed this book I wish there was a little more plot and that the explanation about why her mom did what she did was.....just more.

I really liked this take on the ex boyfriend’s dad trope, it was totally something different than what I’ve listened to in the past (and it started spicy 🌶️ STRAIGHT OUT THE GATE). The characters were cute and the narration was PHENOMENAL! The only criticism that I have is that I feel like the story was rushed, it didn’t have a lot of story building and the ending came crashing in. But otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed!

I’m really enjoying reading more from this author. This age gap romance hit all the right spots, and add that it’s a forbidden love made it all the more enjoyable. The voice’s were good for their character, however when they read as male for female or female for male the lost connection. Which pulled me out of the book a bit. But I still enjoyed the story and the spice. 4.25 / stars overall.

This was just a really fun read and I can’t wait to jump into the next book. It was angsty, spicy, sweet and dark all rolled into one. The bathroom scene!!! Whewwwwww. Age gap, primal, praise….give me all of it.

So dang good wow!! I ate this book up & the narrators did a great job. I am so happy I finally listened/read this book & can’t wait for the rest of the series!

Golden Wings & Pretty Things was my first read from this author! I honestly just heard the tropes for it (age gap, ex boyfriend’s dad) and jumped in! 🤣 This ended up being okay, it was a little hard to get into at first but I did like it more in the second half once feelings actually got involved!

Astor meets his son’s girlfriend, Indie, at the beginning of summer and tries to keep his distance from her because he’s immediately wanting her. By the time fall comes around, Indie’s relationship with her boyfriend has fizzled out and now her future at the prestigious private college is at risk. She ends up coming to Astor for his help, since he’s the university’s president. He says he’ll help her if she agrees to his arrangement: for the remainder of the school year, she’ll be his. At his beck and call for 8 months, including moving in!

Like I mentioned, the first but came off a bit insta-lusty, but that is just how their arrangement was set up to be. Eventually real feelings do get involved and I liked seeing how they fall for one another. He helps her get her cherished horse back and we do see him with birds as he trains golden eagles/falconry. The forbidden part of her dating his son when they first get together was kind of light/didn’t become a thing, as their relationship had already fizzled out naturally and both found someone else and no one was upset. 🤷🏼‍♀️
