I didn't realize that this was the last book in the series when I started it. I absolutely loved it! I didn't think that I was going to like it. It ended so well. I wish that I was able to read the other books as well, but I am glad I got to see how the series ended!

I love the story and the characters resilience. The most memorable moment is when Rhoda firmly resolved, after daughter slapped her, to put her out of her house that very moment. The narrator's voice resonated the souls if the characters and made me fully visualize everything about them. ❤
