Susan Pettiford hasn't been home to North Carolina in 16 years. But then she inherits her aunt's home, giving her an opportunity to start her own interior design business. After a passionate fling with handsome architect Lucas Hamilton, Susan is tormented by mixed feelings. Although there is a palpable connection between the two that could evolve into something much more, Susan keeps their fling to exactly one night. Having recently endured a hysterectomy, she knows she can never give a man a family - so she pushes Lucas away.

Getting Some of Her Own was a wonderful audible to listen to. The narrator did a wonderful job in telling the story. By having listened to Gwynne Forsters, "When Twilight Comes" this audible "Getting Some of Her Own" was a follow up to it. I found Getting Some of Her Own was very interesting in how the author put it all together. All of the characters were wonderful and it was hard for me to stop listening to it until it was finshed.
Great job Gwynne Forster! I can't wait until I can get into another audible.
