This series is so popular the only reason for reviewing this installment is to assure you its worthy of your time.

Great story, Not so great narration.

I used to read everything Tom Clancy as a kid, and just recently found back to his Jack Ryan franchise here on Audible. For whatever reason I started out with the books narrated by Lou Diamond Phillips (Locked On, Dead or Alive, Threat Vector and Command Authority) and they were awesome! His intonation, his pronunciations and his ability to come up with different, but fitting, voices for different characters really pleased me. Scott Brick's narration on the other hand..*sigh* His intonation has made me almost fall asleep more than once, not just in this book but others as well.. His ability to make every statement from any of the characters seem like a profound moment (when they aren't meant to be) is, to me mat least, quite annoying. Not every interaction is meant to be deep and sould searching..Also, I cringe every time he pronounces Gavin Biery's last name..makes me wonder how he would pronounce the word fiery... I unfortunately, unless I I find some that are done by another narrator, I think this will be the last book I am going to bother listening to in this series..which really annoys me.. I wish I could agree with those that say Scott is perfect..

Jack Ryan books always fun

If you like Jack Ryan stories, both Jr and Sr, you will enjoy this ride. Good plot, usual cast of characters plus a few new ones. Good narrator. Well worth the credit.

Heart pounding!!

Best Jack Ryan series too date. Only hope the series will continue. Loved the close calls and emotion this book gave me. Tom Clancy and Mark Greaney have made this series one of my top choices for novels.

Passed the touch

loved every minute... Addictive... Laughed out loud at a few parts too! Character development stayed true. Too a little getting used to the new narrator. I can't wait for the next Ryan novel!
