Excellent advice and counsel about how to deal with serious grief and depression... essential wisdom about how to forgive and move on with rebuilding your life after a divorce or after a huge betrayal... Highly recommended for all who are struggling with feelings of anger after being betrayed or hurt by someone they love.

Forgiveness

Forgiving the qromgs that have been done to you is so hard. This book really helped guide me through my pain and struggles, gave me better understanding of God's grace and why it's so important to forgive others. If you are struggling to forgive please grab this book!

Excellent Godly Book

I refused to read this book for over a year. I was convinced the other person didn’t deserve to be forgiven. But a year later I hit rock bottom, and God stepped in and told me through three different people (in the same week) that I needed to forgive. This book has changed my life. Not only am I willing to forgive her now, I’m realizing I need to forgive everyone I’ve cut out of my life over the last year. My hurt ended up hurting them and I need to apologize for that. If you don’t like this book, I would venture to say you’re heart is still too hard like mine was. Put it on a shelf and come back to it down the road. Your life will be unbelievably healthier and happier because of it. Forgiveness never excuses what they did to you. It just opens up a place for grace which God gives us an unending amount of daily. And it’s meant to humble us. And when humility is abounding, health is flooding in. God bless you on your journey.

Excellent Book!

I don’t normally leave reviews. But is this book worth the read! It’s like the author carefully penned every emotion & every thought I’ve had lately. As I read the physical book, while also listened—I felt a lot of things fall off of my shoulders, helped me put so much in perspective. Can we imagine a world where we practiced more forgiveness? We would be in such a better place. My testimony is God saved my life from pornography addiction, and he used the person I sexted with to open my eyes in an unexpected way. Learning to forgive the person whom I did that with was a huge step in my recovery. So I would definitely recommend this book!

Life Changing

I’m a Christian who allowed hurt and bitterness with another Christian overcome me. This book helped “the Jesus in me talk to the Jesus in her” and we are now in the process of healing that relationship.

The best book I ever read

This by far was the best book I ever read . Going through some similar things that the book goes over . It was like God placed this in my hands and it was medicine for my mind heart and soul. I have read it several times . It has taught me so much and has helped me with my circumstances in my life that I was struggling with that nearly broke me . This book helped me slowly to help put myself together with Gods help . Thank you Lysa for writing this . I’m so sorry you had to go through all of what you went through. But I’m inspired to learn how you got to the other side of your situation. Love your books . Thank you for sharing like you do . God Bless you and your family.

Religious

if you are not extremely religious, this is not for you. it's like one long sermon.

It’s Christian overtone

If you are an atheist as I am don’t buy this book. It bases its model on the presumption that you are a Christian. I might have missed that part in the description so it is my fault but I had to stop reading it
