Best story ever!

This is perhaps the best book I have ever listened to. Each chapter keeps you on the edge and really fuels the soul

Gripping and Action-packed

Thus was my 3rd G.A. Henry novel and I was not disappointed. His likeable and noble characters won my loyalty from the start. Their adventures through actual events were believable and the historical knowledge I gained was fabulous.

Amazing look at the the Jewish rebellion

Fantastic and intriguing story and really helps you understand what was going on at the time of the destruction of the temple.

Great Book

This is a great book, but the person that reads the story does not change character voices very well. The book makes it worth the purchase though

Great historical fiction! This book provides great insight into the time when the Romans burned the temple in Jerusalem.

Worth the Effort

Thorough retelling of the fall of Jerusalem. I learned so much! As usual, there were long passages describing battle techniques (not
my thing), but the story was worth seeing through till the end. I even cried at the last chapter. Best of all, it spurred my desire to learn more about the leaders in the book.

great story

This was a great story!!! It was very entertaining and had a lot of history from the time around the fall of Jerusalem.
The narrator was just okay - so only 4stars instead of 5 ;-)

Very well written, entertaining and historically fascinating.

The story of a young hero rising to success and working in honor is so satisfying an accomplishment and story.

The success and hardships are realistic and make me want to read more of the times of these things.

The history is amazing and accurate. It is healthy for Christians to know the things that happened shortly after Christ and to see the fulfillment of what he prophesied about the fall of the temple. It did come true.

Worth a listen

I always enjoy mr. Henty's books.
This book is no exception and there are more on my list.
The narrator's voice is just right for this type of book.

History comes alive

The narrator is excellent. The story was a little slow at times, but was the historical buildup of the destruction of the Jewish Temple. Learned a lot.
