In eight years Marlon James will be one of the brightest rising stars in the music industry. Bristol Gray will be his tough, no-nonsense manager.

But when they first meet, she's a college student finding her way in the world, and he's an artist determined to make his way in it.

From completely different worlds, all the things that should separate them only draw them closer.

It's a beautiful beginning, but where will the story end?

Contains mature themes.

Would you consider the audio edition of Flow to be better than the print version?

No, but I did enjoy the audio

What other book might you compare Flow to and why?

Honestly, I'm not sure. I've never read a book that compares.

Which character – as performed by Jakobi Diem and Maxine Mitchell – was your favorite?

Grip was my favorite. I love Bristol, but Maxine Mitchell's voice does not fit the voice I had in my head for her. That's not to say she did a poor job. I enjoyed her performance, I just felt that she sounded slightly too "posh" for Bristol, if that makes sense.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The discussions at the restaurant when Grip picks Bristol up from the airport.

Any additional comments?

This book/series is in my top favorite books ever written. I love that Kennedy Ryan is not afraid to touch topics that are difficult to navigate, but she does so with such grace and ease that it adds to the chemistry between the mc's.

Brilliant mix of love story and social justice iss

These narrators were made to read this book. So authentic! I seriously felt like a fly on the wall, watching everything take place. Seriously incredible, sensational.

Best Audio book I've Ever Read

This is my first read from this author. I enjoyed Jakobi Diem's rendition, but it took me a minute to get into Maxine's narration. Something about her voice is annoying. But she did well for her part otherwise. This was an interesting plot on how the romance began and the backstories of each character. I'm interested in reading the rest of the books in the series.

Interestingly good

Sometimes a story just hits you and you can tell it’s going to be special from the start. This book being a prequel to a series is definitely one of those. It is wonderfully written and so poignant. That characters are captivating and so deep. It’s emotional and thought provoking. I honestly just loved every single part of it! If this book is any indication, I know the rest of the series is going to be amazing!
As my first experience with Jakobi Diem, I must say I was very impressed. I really enjoy Maxine Mitchell, but she was having a hard time with the male accent not sounding “southern”, which it isn’t supposed to be. That is really my only criticism of the audiobook at all. But even that couldn’t make the story any less captivating. I would recommend this to anyone!

Just WOW!

I fell that without the sex scenes that everyone should read these books. I don’t personally relate to them but I see what is going on in the world today and reading this made a white country girl like myself look at things a little different. I still don’t condone the violence that is going on in the world but can understand the frustration more clearly.
