Flaming Crimes
Beth and Donovan are happily married and are now starting to think of kids. But wildfires close to their home has them both on edge, so much so they don't notice some of the strange things that are happening to them for what they are, until it is almost to late. Now the fire is coming for their house and while Donovan is helping keep water on the house Beth is running things to there car and helping neighbors until she finds herself running for her life.
These books just keep getting better, more action and more suspense, I don't know how the author does it but I like it. Narrator Bill Nevitt gives it another awesome performance and I can not wait for the next book. Beth and Donovan have become family and I love hearing what they are up too and how they beat the bad guys.

Another good one :)
Another good one. I really liked the mystery, how they didn't know who was after them (that's what happens when you annoy a lot of people, kids :P ) and how, when they finally discover who is the culprit, it was someone that wasn't even in their list.
I liked their friendship with Thorn, and I liked that Beth is still trying to overcome the trauma from last book. What I didn't like was that she didn't get rid of Dave before he assaulted one of her clients. She's working with abused women, she should have know better.
And I loved Bill Nevitt narration, he really make the action's scenes exciting and terrifying.
This series is growing on me :P

Part 4 of an action romance
This is the fourth book in the disaster crimes series. Each story can stand alone, however the relationship of the main characters builds throughout.
Beth and Donovan once again face a disaster, this time with fires, and not necessarily natural. They run from a demon of their past and try keep each other safe in the midst of everything going on.
They are a perfect couple but have had much to deal with in their lives. They seem to attract adventure and action wherever they go, but keep their strong and steamy relationship alive along the way.
Bill narrates very well. I like his style and his performance keeps me entertained.
I have enjoyed this series and recommend it to anyone enjoying romance, or action, or both! I look forward to hearing the others in the series.

Disaster Crime Story
Flaming Crimes is another gripping book in Chrys Fey's Disaster Crimes series. Having listened to books 2 & 3, I was looking forward to finding out more about Donovan and Beth and what dangers they might find themselves in Flaming Crimes. They are back in their forever home in Florida, living a good life and once again ominous things begin to happen. Who is it now that wants them dead? Stong, riveting characters, (I enjoy the relationship of the Goldwyns with their detective friend Thorne--the back and forth teasing and the trust they share) edge-of-the-seat action and a tension-filled story that moves quickly, all come together to make this an enjoyable book. The author vividly paints the fiery scenes of Florida burning and the monster truck race, keeping interest high.
I listened to a complimentary copy of the audiobook and the narrator, Bill Nevitt, does a great job telling the story, making for an enjoyable listening experience.
I will put a caution here that this book is at least a PG-13 rating, due to language and intimacy details.

More Enemies for these two
They are married now and so much in love. After the last couple of years, it's time for life to normalize. The dry spell and resulting fires so close make it hard to relax. But they are healed and go back to their jobs. You got it, both of them have problems--danger to deal with. Luckily their cop buddy is still around to help figure things out. Will those fires threaten them as well as the people causing problems at work?
The love is strong with these two and touching to hear about their lives and how much they care. It is time for their lives to settle. Will they?
Don't miss this one. A great story alone or in the series.

Another great adventure!
Here we go again! Hurricane's, Earthquakes and Tsunami's can't stop them, but will raging fires see the end of Beth and Donavan? Or will it be the bad guys who are lurking in the shadows? "Flaming Crimes" is one of those books that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I could almost feel the heat from the fires in this one (as well as the heat between Beth and Donovan!)
I listened to this fourth book in the Disaster Series on Audible, and it was just as intriguing as the paper books. Loved it! Great characters! And it was really good to learn more about Thorn in this book.
Author Chrys Fey writes fast paced, action-packed, adventures and Flaming Crimes did not disappoint!
Great book, but I highly recommend you read the other books in this series before delving into this one. The background of how Beth and Donovan met and how Thorn came into the picture will help establish their connection.

Yet Another Disaster!
This is book four in a series where every story features a natural disaster, in previous books, we have had a hurricane, an earthquake, and a tsunami and now in this book, we have a wildfire. Although each story is standalone the two main characters remain the same - these two have had so many things to contend with I really feel for them.
Newly married, following their honeymoon in Hawaii our heroes Donavan and Beth have built their dream home and their lives appear to be returning to some sort of normal, they are even considering starting a family but fate hasn't finished with them yet and disaster strikes again, this time in the form of fire! Someone is out to hurt both Donavan and Beth.
The theme of natural disasters together with fighting crimes are woven intricately into all these books along with a blossoming, beautiful and passionate love between Beth and Donovan, they met during a hurricane and fell in love during an earthquake. Then during their honeymoon, there was a tsunami. Each of those events happened in different books now in this book, they must try to outsmart a psychopath out for revenge while at the same time fighting a wildfire.
This book though does concentrate more on Donovan and Beth's personal lives which make the characters feel more real and grounded. We get to see their love deepening as they try to start a family, while a drug dealer obsessed with vengeance plots to hurt them both. This book is another rollercoaster ride with the perfect blend of suspense, action, drama, romance, and love.
Bill Nevitt has given another amazing performance, he has narrated the previous two books in the series and I think that the continuity really helps the listener connect with the characters. Nevitt's delivery is incredibly smooth and flows well, and he brings just the right tone to all the characters.
I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Flames ignite
I enjoyed this book once we got past all the sex scenes. I like the way the couple have to cope with a natural disaster while fighting for there lives against a more human kind, it makes the stories so unique and interesting. The book was a bit slow to start and does concentrate on the couple's love life more than the crime and disaster but once I started I found I couldn't stop listening. I think this is because the story is so different from the normal style of book and I have grown to like the characters and want to know what happens to them.
Beth and Donovan have returned home from there honeymoon with new scares to show for it. As they settle down to married life and the prospect of starting a family, wild fires break out in the county endangering homes and lives. But the fires aren't the only things heating up, someone wants to get revenge on the couple and when Donovan is hurt in one of the attacks the couple once again fear for there lives and go into hiding. With the help of there policeman friend Thorn can they once again out smart the bad guys or this time will they get burnt? The first problem is working out who.has a grudge against them and with a whole list of bad guys behind bars because of them narrowing the list won't be easy.
I like the fact that the author has stuck with the same narrator for three of books because Bill Nevitt is a good choice and having the same narrator all the way through makes it feel like one big adventure, instead of lots of books.

Best in the series
I really enjoyed this book. Following a very eventful honeymoon Beth and Donavon are back home, settling into married life and try for a baby. Disaster interferes with their plans for a harmonious life, there is a spate of fires which seem to be random and could possibly be arson. When fire threatens their home the intrepid duo step up to the challenge ending with Beth facing an old adversary. A gripping story, the best in the series so far!

Will Mother Nature Give Them a Break?
Flaming Crimes by Chrys Fey is both a standalone listen and part of a series. Beth and Donovan are the featured couple in this book. In past stories, the couple has endured a hurricane, an earthquake, and a tsunami. Now they are dealing with wildfire. I love how the author meshes action, disaster, crime and romance into one. The storyline has some unpredictable twists. Bill Nevitt brings the characters to life with his performance. I enjoy how he has distinguishable voices for the characters. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.
