Inspiring

It is amazing to see how Rich's faith helped him to change his priorities. After putting God first, he was able to win the games twice(when this book was written), then twice more has an individual and once as a team. What an amazing way to glorify God by being the best at what he does.

highly dissapointed

If you are a Rich Fronin fan boy then by all means get it. But if you are someone looking to oush your own performace to the next leevel you will get nothing here. Fronin describes in detail his childhood, all his competitipns in minute detail and praises God. Thats it!! No motivation, inspiration, and hardly any training tips. so unless you are a die hard fan of his pass this one up. Long and tedious too

Just okay

this man is someone I truly follow and look up to. i guess it was my expectations that were set too high prior to reading this book. its more like a biography which I watched on Amazon (his documentary). still learned a lot though and appreciate Rich even more 🤙🏼

Outstanding read

Great book for the young Christian athlete and those who enjoy CrossFit.

Rich has an amazing story to tell and this book does it in a great way. Wish I had found it a couple years earlier

wasn't a fan until...

I was not historically a Froning fan until I saw his CF documentary. I became interested in learning more and so listened to this book. I really love his connection to God and how he lives for that, not his sport. I think this book is very personal and a blueprint of how to live your gifts out through faith first and then fitness.

Praise be to Christ

what a great book that ultimately glorifys the one true king Jesus Christ. I loved rich already but now I love him even more as an athlete but more importantly a brother in Christ.

Pretty decent

I wasn’t wild about the narrator voice but it wasn’t awful, just seemed a little old for Froning. Content was good and a lot of great antidotes and inspirational journeys. A good mix of personal life stories, fitness related stories, and personal accomplishments that really put things into perspective.

Only ONE Thing Missing

This book was incredible! Rich Froning's story is one I never would've imagined. This one sucked me in! The only thing lacking, in my opinion, is life in the performance. I would've expected the reader to be more enthusiastic and compelling. Did a great job but just wasn't what I expected given the nature of the content. LOVED it though!

a little more god than I expected

Interesting story from a personal perspective but a little more god than I expected. I should mention I knew little about Rich except he'd won more crossfit games than anyone else.

I really wanted to like this......................

I almost never leave reviews but, felt I should justify my low ratings:
Having seen this guy on the Crossfit Games videos I really wanted to know more about him and his life but......................... It wasn't an exciting listen and the narration / story involved so many references to the WOD (work out of the day) followed by a long list of other abbreviations and technical details of the workout I quickly got bored. Rich is a proud Christian and I found his openness to praise God for his good fortune refreshing at first but, soon got tired of it.
Overall, he's a great athlete and I'm in awe of his prowess but, didn't really enjoy the listen.

Good Listen

I love Crossfit and im a big fan of Rich
bit to much God and religious talk but at tye end of the day Rich Froning is a big believer in his faith and God so you cant expect to listen/read a book about him and it not be in there.

Froning, his fitness and his faith

Excellent insight into Froning and what drives him. Great family man and athlete. Was unaware of the role faith has in his life - his outlook and optimistic lifestyle is fairly inspiring.

Good overall story

It was a good story and liked how he explained he newly found faith.

There was a bit too much simple naration at some parts.

But overall good book.

Genuine and well rounded bio!

Insightful and grounded account of Fronning's perspective on life and what he has achieved. Some might find his point of view provoking but I was inspired that he chose to stand firm on what he believes. Extra respect!
