Excellent all the way around

The story kept my interest from start to finish. The language was clean and the morals were well-established you had ample bad guys and villains to deal with, but good always wins out. Narrator was excellent. Will definitely listen to more from this writer

Unexpected pleasure

Lisa Wingate has written another winner that keeps readers engaged from the first sentence to the last. While this love-at-first sight offering might seem a bit cliche at the onset, Lisa's characters are wound together in such a way as to present a depth not often found in such novels.

Whether you're familiar with the Moses Lake series or not, this story is a highly entertaining read that can't be missed.

slow starter

Lisa Wingate is one of my favorite author but frankly this book was not great. The reader was not my favorite either, having done only a somewhat decent job when compared to this author's other readers. By 2/3 through I decided it just wasn't worth the time. Maybe something big was going to happen but I was always waiting for something to build. I have read probably 10-12 of this author but this was is getting returned.

Suspense until the very end

Love the twist of romance, suspense, mystery and curiosity intertwined throughout! Perfect go-getter woman learning how to still hold her own, make a difference in the world, while still falling in love and creating a family!

TIME WILL MAKE YOU CHANGE!!!

For some reason I have struggled with the beginning of every book in the series. I wanted to jump in the book and slap Mallory to wake her up. She was such a snob. When she said she did not want her kid to go to school with the "lower class kids" I was furious and almost stopped listening to the book. I also did not like how she was revolted by Len. This is why our world is in the condition it is. Half way through the book she had an epiphany that maybe Moses Lake and the people were not bad. John, the millionaire, needs a psych doctor. He lives in the past and is delusional that his son is good. The husband, Daniel, left a lot to be desired also. He couldn't seam to understand that Mallory was out of her element with keeping the kid, the ratty house, being a new wife and no job. I loved the old men from the other 2 books. The old men and the woman next door save the day.
