CLIFFHANGER ALERT!!!!!

Kendall Ryan is an author that I usually find somewhat entertaining ..... this book falls into that category. The story description sums up the story until the twist that you do not see coming!! Hence the cliff hanger!!! I HATE cliffhangers!!!! Will I read book 2 ? That is open for debate. I did not feel the need to listen to this story in one sitting ..... and since I do have an aversion to series books that are not stand alone I may pass.

In any case if you do not mind series stories this is the read for you!!

Cliffhanger

This is the first half of a novel.

If you like a steamy book with a little more to it than two people falling into bed for unrealistic sex, this is a good choice. I really liked how they got to know each other building sexual tension before jumping into bed. 👍🏼

Wonderful...

I was lost in the story and hate that I inhaled it!!! Ms. Erickson was awesome as Sophie and I will definitely look for others narrated by her.

Ms Ryan is a great story teller and although ti was it coming and wanted to "look away" I couldn't.

The only thing that could have made this better was Sean Crisden or John Lane giving Colton a voice but this was not diminished with Ms. Erickson's narration.

You won't be disappointed.

Good but would be better with 2 narrators

The only reason I docked this a star is it would have been better with 2 narrators. This female parts were great, but she didn't really have a deep enough voice to pull off the male point of view parts in my opinion but ice heard worse so ill still just listen to the concluding story instead of reading.

Maddening heroine but great story

Sophie drives me crazy in this book but the story is engaging, steamy and keeps you wanting to know what happens next. Sophie's thoughts are irritating at times because they reflect an absence of awareness about her situation. At times, she has thoughts as if she is there against her will, which isn't the case, and other times, she has thoughts as if she's the hero's girlfriend, which also isn't the case.
The narration is confusing. This book really needs a male narrator for the male POV chapters.
I don't normally enjoy romances written in first person, but this story was able to draw me in despite it being in first person.
This book ends with a cliffhanger, which I'm not a fan of without advanced warning. If the second part wasn't already released and a part of the audible escape program, I would deduct a star for the surprise cliffhanger.
