the antagonist was kind of weird

I didn't think I would have liked it at first but it ended up being pretty good. I liked how much sex there was.

And yet...

Great scifi series and robust character development marred only with the author's overuse of the phrase "and yet...". It's so pervasive and annoying that I almost stopped listening after the first hour. Hope the story continues - without the "and yet...".

the side relationship added nothing of value...

it was just there as a drama device and added nothing.
I skipped those minutes because it's just cringe and miss any plot for skipping.

A good addition to the series

Even though I believe it's a good addition to the series the plot are getting to be very similar .

Repetitive use of certain phrases

Good: The gradual disintegration and decline of Earth civilization as the war drags on.
Bad: Repetitive use of stock phrases like, "He gritted his teeth..." or "God knows what the..."
