A good YABook
This is the best YA litrpg book I've read. the protagonist has his flaws, mostly with being a know it all, but that does come to bite him, and slash him, and many other not fun things. Good thing its a game and he actually learns from it.

pleasantly surprised

Fun gaming references. The MC becomes much more competent in this book which I feel like was a huge improvement. The plot was fun and lighthearted. The book was narrated very well.

Great addition!
A great follow-up to the first. Still more growing pains, but atleast he seem's to be taking the hint, and learning from past mistakes.. only to follow up with new ones. Can't wait for the next one!

good story and narration
our angsty MC is back and he continues to Buck the system. will he come up with a way to pay back his incredible debt? will he come up with new ways to cope with being hunted?
Crystal does a great job with the narration!

Attention holding storyline!

Great sequel!
I’ve been waiting for the second book to come out and it didn’t disappoint! There are some changes for our heroes and definitely some struggles along with a lot of dumb mistakes, but that’s what makes them stand out in a sea of OP characters. Looking forward to the next one!

He can learn!
For a little while, I was worried I wouldn't be happy with this volume in the series. It seemed as though the MC still wasn't going to learn/adapt, destined to endless failures. However, I am happy to report he does finally start to catch on. Major characters in this series are distinct and have depth. The author does well at not letting them feel like automatons. They have personality, seem to act on their own desires, and can even act contrary to their own best interests. I am still enjoying this take on the genre and am looking forward to seeing how the larger story progresses.
Narration still feels refreshing and a pretty good fit. Some voices, like how a certain assistant communicates Well done narration.
